James and his partner were awesome. I talked with them about putting in aluminum attic steps in my garage to get access to the space above our cars. I talked with him early in the week and then he came over to do the job 5 days later. Also helped me look at the structure and decide which steps to get and which size. Clean work, very professional, timely, and very helpful throughout the process. Would recommend if you have projects around the house, cost was just right, and will hire again!

I discovered them as I was getting ready to move, and I wish I had much earlier. Overall, they were amazing. Responsive, communicative, punctual, and got the job done right every time. I called James when i discovered about a foot of water in the low part of my basement. The electricity was out for about 36 hours. James and his assistant came quickly, purchased a back up generator used to begin to eliminate the water, moved storage items to dry area, and followed up to install the back up sub pump battery. I always appreciate James' texts to advise me of arrival time or to modify it when needed, so I always know when he's to arrive. He is truly a "James of all trades"

Everything went great! Easy to have in the house, very much a perfectionist, I really appreciated that James did all the leg work in terms of what was needed. We added a few things which he seemed happy to do. I thought the price was very fair.....he did come out and give us an estimate ahead of time.

James does excellent work. We had him removed a drop ceiling, install an outdoor outlet and fix a dryer outlet. He was on time, priced well and did an excellent job. We have since re-hired him for additional jobs and will continue to work with him.

I supplied the gas lines, black pipe parts, semi-rigid dryer duct work, vent clamps, and fittings. James bought the two dryer vents. He came out two days. The first day he looked over the project. On that day I remember $90 was mentioned as the price. The second day when he comes to do the work, it takes him longer than he expected. Then I get a bill for $163.80. I was charged $37.50 for the look over on the first day. When you subtract for the parts he bought, that $90 number swelled to $150. If you hire James, be sure to get a written estimate.

"The client failed to mention that his wife requested we retrofit the two dryer exhaust vents including supplying the vents through the glass block windows. We told both him and his wife there would be an additional charge for the return visit because additional parts were needed and the additional labor to install the dryer vents. His wife was happy with the work we did and was satisfied with the amount charged. Not sure why he has a problem accept that he probably wishes he could have done it himself (which he wasn’t capable of doing), for nothing. Ask yourself if hooking up two gas dryers including piping and venting for the price charged is unreasonable, it’[Member Information Removed] not. Also, we always provide estimates and tell people in advance if there will be additional costs."

James was professional and his attention to detail was remarkable. He offered multiple solutions for the issues we needed fixed, and most of the options he offered saved us money. James and Craig both did quality work and our damaged areas now look as good as the rest, I can't even tell where things were replastered and painted. When he could think of more than one way to handle an issue, he always supported the decision I made. Communication through text message was always thorough, I always knew when to expect them, and most importantly, the job was done correctly. I would definitely hire James and Craig again for more work on our house.

James was one time for both estimate and on the day the service was performed. Everything concerning this job was explained to me in a clear manner. The work that was performed exceeded my expectations and there were no hidden costs. I definitely recommend James and I will use him again for other projects.

James was easy to reach and fit me into his busy schedule. He communicated with my tenant, and me, fixed our door and charged us a reasonable price. The door later broke again, and he quoted me the same price minus the drive out to my duplex. However, when he got there the fix was so quick I think he ended up doing it for free. Overall, I would definitely use James again. He was easy to work with and very willing to accommodate my needs. In the rental property business, you find a great handyman, you do your best to keep him/her around.

The results are amazing. In our 90 year old home, the railing had pulled from the plaster wall, at the top of the stairs. Reattachment required drilling behind 1" thick plaster, sinking into a stud for stability To finish, plaster was added to clean up the hole, it was sanded , and the wall primed for painting. I feel so fortunate that such care was given to restoring this old time, custom railing to better condition than before. Its sure to look good, and be safe for another 90 years.

The refrigerator had to be placed outside of the wine cellar. The wine cellar was an old cold cellar attached to the basement. the walls are 15" thick of double concrete block. The block is of the old type with more solid concrete than open space. I needed two 12" holes drilled through for the air input and exhaust. because of the unique construction, the perimeters of the holes had to be drilled out from both sides. This necessitated an almost continuous circle of drill holes with a hammer drill. Then, a hammer and chisel was needed to completely break through the old type concrete blocks. Only then could the ducting be put through the wall. The work was completed over two days and cleaned up perfectly. James had taped plastic around the work area to contain dust and debris. Off site, James constructed about 12 feet of wine shelving for the inside of the wine cellar. I had spec-out a simple design with pine wood. The finished cellar holds about 500 bottles of wine and is a great addition to our house. James was a joy to work with. He helped give design feedback and we made some adjustments based on his experience. Communication with him was professional, as was his work.

James is awesome! He responds quickly, does excellent quality work, and is very personable. He has an eye for what will look or work the best, and his prices are very fair. He works efficiently and cleans up after the job. My home was built in 1923 so everything is out of plumb. James worked diligently to install my interior door: it turned out beautifully. I'm very happy with James' work, and I will definitely hire him again.

I would like everyone out there to know that James Kinnard from myHandypro does exceptional work of all kinds. He has been my handy man for over 8years.
