My husband and I cannot say enough good things about how helpful John was. He was able to see what needed to be done and what didn't need to be done, and the easiest way to do them. His charges were much less than the other person we talked to. My sister had lived here well over 20 years and there were many things that needed to be fixed. John spent most of 2 days here. We are ready for the photographer!

It went beautifully. I can't express my gratitude enough. I had spoken to several contractors - but I didn't have a genuine level of confidence that the job would turn out very well. Also, the details that went into this project were not for an amateur. Everything was completed on time and with a level of excellence that is second to none. My neighbors have complimented me on the job.

The job was beast, but Milwaukee Home Services did a great job. Much time was spent ensuring the job was done with quality.

John was highly recommended by a friend and I was not disappointed in his service.  He was prompt, courtious , professional and his work was first rate.  I have absolutely no complaints.  I would certainly use Milwaukee Home Services again.

All of the work completed was top notch! John pays incredible attention to detail and goes the extra mile to ensure the job is done right, done well and on time. For example, the interior door required lowering the door frame and upper casing. Because the original wall was textured plaster, he brought textured paint for the finishing touches! Before he started, John explained the work/process he was going to use and why, potential costs, and was happy to answer our questions and concerns. He was punctual (he let us know what time we could expect him each day) and considerate of our property and pets. He cleaned up each of the work areas, and sealed off those that could expose our parrot to dust/debris or fumes. He was also transparent about a hiccup with the interior door (vendor had supplied the wrong size) and the delay it would have on our project. The price was reasonable given the quality of parts/supplies and craftsmanship. He provided an upfront estimate, and made us aware of changes as the projects continued. At the end, he walked through an itemized list of charges. Excellent customer care, service and work overall!

The wall looks like great. He removed the piping, capped the exterior pipe, insulated, dry walled and patched the area. John is a hard worker with great skills. He can fix anything inside and outside of your house. I'm having him coming back next month for another project.

John was very easy to work with.  Responded promptly and was able to come out, give me an estimate, and fix it in the same day.  I would call them again if I had another job that needed to be done around the house.

Did a  good job repairing about 12 areas of dry wall holes, wrinkles, and cracks; installed a new water heater and replaced itsfaulty venting system; installed new water faucet up to code requirements; removed and replaced kitchen light fixture; removed broken shower door and replaced with a better and more attractive door.  He had some struggles with the water heater venting, but continued working on it until is was up to code and and there was NO leaking.  John is very conscientious and a hard worker.  Will definitely use him again and again.

We had some scheduling problems, but he did come out and do the work to my satisfaction.  He is cooperative to work with.

My porch looks awesome. Quality of work was excellent. I have had neighbors and strangers comment on how great it looks and what an outstanding job was done! Some of these people work in this business and the we're impressed! John worked with me every step of the way and was very professional and willing to make changes when I changed the plan. I also needed to have the front of the house resided and John found siding to match my existing siding which has faded over the years so I didn't need to reside the whole house. This saved me significant money. John handled every detail of this job and I could not be more pleased. He truly loves his work and providing quality at a reasonable price. Simply put - just outstanding! I wish I could post pictures here to do the job justice.

It turned out great. The price was right. He did what he said he was going to do and when he said he would.

John was prompt, polite, knowledgeable and did a lot in the time he was there.   I hope to have him back in the future.

The work was done well and he was professional. Because my home being older he ran into a small issue but it did not take long to come up with a resolution. Matter of minutes. Everything worked out just fine and my son was very happy with his new light..will hire again. Thank you.

John did a great job with the curtain rods and pictures. He was professional, tidy, and respectful of my home. He's also not a smoker, so I did not have to deal with third hand smoke coming into the house. I have very old (plaster) walls, and the curtains and curtain rods that I wanted to use were very heavy and required some extra care. I noticed the negative reviews regarding the Angie's List coupons, but those reviews were not relevant to me since I was not trying to use any coupons. (In my opinion, it seems like this was a problem stemming from AL and the number of coupons they issued.) I would absolutely call Milwaukee Home Services in the future.

John was on time, professional and extremely knowledgeable. He provided some screws that were of a higher quality than the ones included in the rod packages. We did have a mix-up in dates, but my job wasn't urgent and I did not mind at all. I would definitely recommend John to others who need a bit of help with their homes and I would use him again. It was okay. He put up a couple of cabinets in the garage. We already had the cabinets. He said he couldn't find the studs and spent a lot of time just hanging 2 cabinets. He also put a strip on in the kitchen. I feel like he should have done more work for those 2 hours. He seemed to be a good guy & did a good job overall.

This handyman was overwhelmed with response to his Angie's List ad, so had trouble scheduling in a timely way.  Nevertheless, he always responded to emails, and after a number of weeks (and one cancellation on my part, we did finally agree on a date.  He arrived in the approximate time frame and put up my heavy mirror with help from a neighbor.  He had trouble finding studs with any tools at hand, and seemed inexperienced at re-wiring the mirror in a safe way.  With hit & miss approach, and one "re-do" for centering as requested, he succeeded.   There are a lot of holes in the wall, but they are covered by the mirror.  He installed bathroom floating shelves, with some complaints about the quality of screws being inferior (a Menard's product) - 2 broke in the process.  He did not offer to replace them and told me one shelf would not be removeable without a lot of effort, should I want to when painting the walls.  Overall,it took 2 hours - a bargain at the special rate - though he got a little less done than I hoped.  The effort it took and aggravation expressed by this handyman was a bit over the top for a professional.  He very kindly did not charge me for some incidentals (new bolts for hanging mirror).

john was backlogged with a Big Deal he ran.  As our project was not urgent, we had no problem waiting.  His professionalism and workmanship were excellent.

It went well. John from Milwaukee Home Services arrived when he said he would and he was able to install the new ceiling fan in the two hours of his time that I purchased as part of an Angie's Big Deal. There was a considerable delay between the time I purchased the Big Deal and John installing the ceiling fan. However, I do not fault John or Milwaukee Home Services. Angie's List needs to honor contractor requests to limit the number of Big Deals that can realistically be handled by that contractor and Angie's List members need to chill with the "F" ratings because they were not first in line and had to wait for what was obviously a VERY GOOD DEAL.

John removed an old bathroom mirror without any damage to the wall.  He then removed two toilet paper holders and a towel bar from the wall and patched the holes in the drywall that were left by removing them.  
Overall a great job.  Happy with the results!
