Very good experience and happy with the work so far.

I had some issues with water coming into my basement alongside one of the walls.  I first made the mistake of contacting Everdry who stated it would cost 30,000 and I needed to do all four walls while they tear up my basement.  I then asked around and found out it was a landscaping issue.  I contacted Best Choice Landscaping and they were very helpful.  They came over for an estimate and I told them what I wanted done and asked what they recommend.  I tried out several other companies this way and compared what they said to what other companies said vs. what I had researched.  They were one of the most reasonable and had solutions that I liked.  They ended up putting in a drainage pipe under ground and collect the water to shoot it out the rear of the property.  They graded the dirt away from the house and installed a couple small grates to collect excess water from pooling.  They also buried my sump pump hose and fitted it in with the drainage pipe.   Now after a year later my yard doesn't even look like any work was done and my basement is dry as a bone.  The exit for the drainage is barely noticeable, and the two small grates don't even get in the way.  Well worth the money.  About the only negative is when the workers were out here they didn't know that I had recently talked with the owner about having the sump line buried.  I knew it was a last minute change and while they were out there I let them know and they were able to work that in no problem.  They finished the work like promised and even emailed before and after photos which is good for me to show when I sell my home.  I would use them again in a heart beat.

I called Best Choice Landscaping looking for someone to mow our lawn every other week.  I talked with someone who said they could do that for $40 each time.  I was told that I'd get a contract via email and I needed to fill it out and send it back.  I said I'd talk to my husband and make a decision about whether or not we'd use them.  I did get the contract via email but never filled it out because my husband wasn't convinced we needed a lawn service.  We went out of town for a week and came back to a mowed lawn.  It looked great.  I thought that one of our neighbors had mowed it because they often do that while we are gone.  The next week, I noticed that our lawn was mowed again.  I checked my email and there was an invoice there for $80.  This was really frustrating.  I thought they did a nice job but I never gave them the "go ahead".  And even if they thought I had, they mowed our lawn two weeks in a row, and I never wanted that in the first place (I wanted every other week).  Anyway, I'm sure this is a nice company, but I was disappointed that they hadn't listened to me.  I talked to them and expressed this and they took $20 off the bill making it $60.  Not sure how I feel about that.  I really don't feel like I even owe them that because I never asked for it officially.  

It is really hot outside and I cannot believe they came out today. They did everything very quickly and it is nice and clean in my yard.

We were very pleased with Best Choice.  They worked quickly, did a great job and cleaned up after themselves.

They cleaned up a large area and I couldn't have been more pleased.  They cleaned up everything everywhere.

Brandon was easy to contact and we setup an agreeable appointment time for a quote.  I liked that the conversation back and forth was handled with phone and email.  I was able to receive and approve the quote without waiting for the mailman.  He was also very available to take phone calls.
I received a call an hour before they arrived.  When the 2 young men arrived they asked for a tour of the work and immediately started trimming shrubs and removing dead wood from the bottoms of large lilac bushes.  They did a thorough job of trimming and shaping all the shrubs.  They did the mulching by unloading the mulch directly from the trailer to their wheelbarrows.  They did an excellent job of mulching without damaging my plants.  They did not just dump it in, they had to hand toss most of it.  They made adjustments that I asked for without question, such as extending the mulch out further in certain areas.  They kept the areas clean as they worked and as they finished they used a leaf blower to do a final cleanup of the area.  I was happy with the whole experience.

This was a wonderful experience for us.  The were very prompt and professional.  They arrived on time and took extreme care to make sure that everything was planted where we wanted it.  They also made sure that each tree was straight and spaced properly.

They charge $42 a cut. They are pretty easy to work with. The price is pretty average for lawn mowing.

They are punctual, and easy to work with.  They do a great job with the lawn.

Wonderful, I called him the previous day and he came out the next day to cut my grass and he did what I asked and it looks great! Everything was cleaned up and the yard look great! I like that I can have a on call as needed basis with Joel.

Brandon was very prompt in coming out to survey the area, and gave me a quote on the spot for installing the trees.  He marked out approx locations for the trees, and also offered to call Diggers Hotline to arrange for them to flag the surrounding area. Installation happened about a month after the quote (a little earlier than expected) because it wasn't a good time to start planting trees.  They sent 4 guys out, lead by Brett.  I spoke to them before the work, and during it.  At the point where most of the trees were positioned, I surveyed their locations with Brett, and asked for a few of them to be shifted slightly to offer better coverage.  They duly obliged without any hesitation.  Unfortunately, it was a very cold, wet and windy day, and the job didn't get finished.  They also had to come out and install a 13th tree, and do some more minor tree moves, as 12 was not enough for the coverage needed, which increased the original cost by more than it would have done if the 13th tree was delivered at the same time.  It was something I had to take on the chin, as I understood the extra costs involved. As it was a privacy job, I did state that the placement of the markings for the trees was approximate as it was impossible to see how they looked without them being here.  I think there might have been some confusion there, and Brandon and I had a couple of email exchanges about that, which maybe could have been avoided had things been understood from the outset. At the end of the day though, everything was completed in two working days, and they look really great (as you can see from the pictures).  The guys did a really nice job, despite the adverse weather, and were very upbeat and friendly whilst doing their work.  I was very happy with the job they did, and would use them again for work in the future.

Late last summer, after the crazy rain storm, I had them come by and give some recommendations on how to help water flow away from my house. They brought in more soil, did some grading, planted some grass and added a drainage system on one side of the house. They were prompt and very neat. I was worried because they had to put some stuff near the neighbors perfect yard and dig up areas close to their yard, but they cleaned everything up perfectly and you could hardly tell they'd even been there. Took less than two days, price was about $900 and so far, I've had no more water in the basement. They also completed a smaller job that another contractor didn't finish. Brought in some decorative lannon stone for a border on my front sidewalk as well as grading a few other areas and adding sod. Again, prompt, neat, professional. A job well done. They shovelled/snow blowed my sidewalks and plowed my driveway this winter. Charged $40 per trip. Always did a good job, came pretty quickly once the snow stopped. Sometimes I would've like to have seen the sidewalks be a little wider or the driveway a little cleaner, but I'm pretty fussy about snow and I don't know that anyone else would have done anything better. I'll definitely hire them again for next winter.

On Thursday, I left a vm and they called back within two hours. I had a choice to have an estimate or just have them do the work. $50/hr so I told them to just do it and call me if it started nearing $300. He said they would be out within the next two weeks. On Monday, I came home to my yard being done. I received the invoice in my email. We are planning to use them again next year and maybe having them quote out some other work.

I had a retaining wall put in so that my window well and yard would not flood due to storms. I am extremely happy that Best Choice Landscaping finished the job when they said they would. It saved me from serious flooding in my basement. Brandon was very nice and courteous. He was a bit late for the first estimate but was extremely apologetic about the situation. He had Adam (an employee) start on the day we agreed upon and finished in a timely manner. The work Adam performed did wonders to the look of my yard (besides being functional) I can't say enough about the professionalism from Brandon and Adam. Although young in age, I was impressed with their maturity and serious approach to their profession. I have already told several friends about this company.

Great experience, Brandon the owner, is very easy to work with. He always gives me a free quote and explains every aspect of the project. He listens to me and gives me suggestions on how to bring the cost of the project down. The employees always show up on time and clean up after the work is complete. Overall I am very satisfied. I would recommed this company to everyone.
