Here is the best part: My energy bill has decreased $90 two months in a row. That's a 25% savings each month.
they did a great job with the install. they we very professional and answered all my questions and walked me through everything will hire them again in the future
The tech who was sent to us was not knowledgeable about furnace conversions, and because of that we had to have another company who was informed come out. We had to pay twice as much as we should have because of this. The tech inspected the furnace and changed the flame sensor which did need changing. He wrote in his description, as well as told us, that the and quot;furnace has never been upgraded for propane.and quot; When I asked how to go about converting it, the tech said that I would have to call someone specially trained to do that, and that it would be very expensive. We had been told that the furnace had been converted to LP when we purchased it, so we didn't trust what he was telling us. We called another company who came out about a week later. This tech told us that the furnace was functioning properly, and through his inspection was able to verify that it had indeed been converted to propane. He also informed us about issues that may occur with a conversion which probably caused the first tech to mistake as no conversion being done.
I indicated that the price was bad, but that was only because of the misinformation and thus more cost to us.
For us Allied was a waste of money in our probably unusual situation.
I also appreciated that they were willing to replace my AC on a Saturday at no additional charge and that they agreed to have the same technician (Joe) who had previously worked on my AC come and do the install for me. Joe is a great guy and went out of his way to explain things to me and also did some additional things to my furnace to improve energy efficiency that he did not have to do. I will definitely use this company again when I need to replace my furnace.
"I’m sorry you had a bad experience. We’ve been in business 13+ years, we serve thousands of customers a year, and we strive to create the best possible experience for each customer. We became aware of this issue late last summer (2013) when we saw another negative review this customer wrote online about Allied. We then made several phone calls to this customer for about 8 weeks but he never returned our calls. We were simply trying get a hold of him to resolve this matter and hopefully satisfy him. We would like to thank this customer for the constructive feedback. This feedback can only help us make our business better. We also would like to thank the customer for taking the time to comment. We will keep attempting to contact him to see if he will allow Allied to address the situation & hopefully come up with a resolution. Just to clear up the “cap on the valve issue” the cap on the connection that we use to test the Freon levels does not hold the Freon in. The shrader stem cores “like the ones found on car tire’s” hold the Freon in the system. The repair was done on 6-24-2013 so if the repair was done incorrectly he would have had issue’s right away last summer. As far as the other 2 issues once again we need to talk to the customer and our tech who did the work to resolve those items."
The person doing the install was professional. We have barely run the furnace so far, since we had it installed at the end of the heating season, but we are optimistic everything was done well. The amount we paid was the amount we were quoted on the phone/online.
Finally, it was unclear to me whether we should submit information for the extended warranty or if Allied would do so. When he was at our home, install tech said Allied would take care of it, but when I followed up by phone to clarify, I never recieved a call back. I ended up submitting the warranty information online (which only took a few minutes anyhow), but I would have appreciated a return call.
On the installation day, they came in at about 9am in the morning and finish the installation of the furnace and the AC unit and completed the testing at about 4pm in the afternoon. New PVC pipes and duct work were also added. The work was done efficiently and professionally. They laid tarp on the floor and carpet to avoid damage to the house and cleaned up all debris and hauled away the old units. I definitely would like to recommend them to everyone I know in the area looking for a qualified company for heating and AC projects.
We canceled all service and changed over to Kelly's HVAC out of Muskego. The technician confirmed to us that there was more wrong with the unit that was causing the other problems. The primary heat exchange needed replacement and it was likely causing the unit to short-cycle thereby affecting the Smart Valve and igniter rod assembly.
Allied technicians were not proficient and their owner lacked any form of customer service capability. I have no idea how they stay in business.
"Allied was not hired by this customer. Allied was hired by HSA home warranty to go out to this customers home and fix his furnace. The homeowner paid his required deductible and we fixed his furnace. About 3 weeks later his furnace was acting up again and there was a different problem causing the same symptom. We called in his claim to HSA home warranty and they approved the repair but they said the homeowner would owe a 2nd deductible. This is when the homeowner called Allied very unruly and pissed off that he had to pay a 2nd deductible. We then directed him to call HSA and discuss the deductible issue with them. He then decided too write an inaccurate bad review on Allied because HSA home warranty made him pay a second deductible for his 2nd covered repair on his furnace. We do over 1000+ service calls a year for HSA home warranty and we have been doing there work for over 6 years. They would not continue using our services if we did not know what we were doing of have poor customer service."
Overall, would definitely use again if any other HVAC needs arise.
