Wautoma Rental Center

We were told by two different people, on reservation and then three days later on pickup, that there would be no problem if we wanted to extend the rental contract on a bucket lift longer than the original three days. But, when we called to let them know we needed to keep the lift for an extra day, suddenly there was a problem. And Casey, one of the clerks, got very sarcastic and smart-alecky on the phone. Some manager called and left a message but when I called back I talked to Wade, the owner. He never once apologized for the employee's conduct nor offer to do anything to make it right. When we returned the lift at the end of the original contract one of the clerks was quite rude and told me "I should act like an adult and just leave." Apparently this is an okay way to treat customers because this young clerk was standing right beside the owner when he said it. But, what do you expect when Wade, the owner, tells me, "You're the kind of customer it's okay to fire." Apparently, if you don't like being talked down too, getting charged early, or treated horribly, you're not their kind of customer. About getting charged early; we paid half of the rental fee at pick-up and were told to "just pay the rest when you bring it back," but we were charged for the rest of the contract before the end of the contract and bringing the equipment back but immediately after the return call to the owner.
