We were quoted a 2 week finish time. On July 8, he told me it would all be done that week. On July 20, text stated, "will definately be done by Fri". On Aug, 1 text stated, "all other work will be done by this weekend". As of Aug, 16, "everything completed as of tomorrow'. Because we live 2 hrs away from the house, it was hard to keep tabs on the house. On Sept 8, we went to the house to discover most everything was not complete! He had paint tape on walls, drip cloths on floor and lots of materials lying on the deck outside. Needless to say, I was extremely upset.. We later found out that he had nailed our cellar door to completely rotten boards which we had no idea about. I then told him to not do any more on the house and now we are stuck finding another contractor to clean up his mess. As far as the realtor part, he never returns my calls or texts. Whenever I asked to meet up with him, he is, "out of town". I have asked numerous times to get out of my contract with no avail! I firmly believe he has prevented the sale of our house during prime selling season. I have never worked with someone like this before. He has made a really bad name for Remax and himself. I hope you will all be ware before hiring him as a contractor or a realtor.
