Tires Plus - Wausau

We had to go to them as an emergency due to our regular mechanic was out of town that weekend. They did the work fine. The only thing was that they then proceeded to tell my husband that he needed new brakes and some other issues with his vehicle. The following week we took our vehicle in to our regular mechanic and he said that all of the additional service work that was mentioned was not necessary whatsoever on my husband's vehicle. Our mechanic did not charge us to check these items out and we did not need to have any further work done. So we question their motives on additional work done.

They are easy to get an appointment with, they run on time and are very friendly. The place is nice, especially for an auto shop. They have 2 little tables to sit at and provide a TV in there along with magazines and the daily news paper. Takes maybe 30 mins for an oil change. They have many restaurants and stores in walking distance as well if you don't want to wait. Everyone has been very friendly to us and aren't pushy at all when they suggest other services that need to be done. We have had other services done there such as tires, coolant flush, brakes, etc and they are always great!
