the contractor came an installed a shower unit in out lower basement. They were at the house for 7 hours along with taking a one hour lunch. They did have to go and purchase some wood for putting up the shower onto the wall. In the process the installers damaged the shower unit by putting crack into one of the shelves. while putting in the plumbing they also damaged another wall in the process, which had to be repaired by another company.
Initially I was quoted the $1500.00 for the installation though the owner of the company said it would be more around $1100.00. when we received the bill there was not detail just said $1500.00 for the amount owed. when the contractor came we provided the shower unit and we provided the fixtures.
I called several times asking for a detailed bill showing what was labor and what was parts. I never got a response from either owner which I left a voicemail on the business phone along with the cell phones. At one time I was trying to leave a message on the business phone it said that the machine was full and then disconnected me. After failing to reach the contractor after many attempts we then mailed a payment of $800.00 with a letter stating that we would like to make the final payment once we receive the detailed billing. I received a call back in regards to the letter stating he thought the issue was resolved and taken care of. I have no clue why he would think that since he never sent out a detailed bill. On the call he left very generic information of the breakdown. since that time I have left two additional voicemails asking for the detailed bill.
I definitely would not recommend this company as there is NO attention to detail when it comes to billing. I also had to fix a damaged wall because of the workers being careless when completing the installation. since the work has been completed I have tried at least a handful of times trying to talk with the owners of the company and have received on call back. Very poor service and would not and will not go with them again.
