TruGreen Lawn Care - 5741

Lawn looks great. This is my 2nd year using Trugreen.

I was very disappointed with them. My grass looked worse than the stuff I put on myself. I would call and complain, they said they would come out but they wouldn't show up. Very unhappy with their service. I bought the summer treatment. The reason I hired them is the neighbor behind me uses them and his yard always looked great. I would call them to tell them my grass looked bad. I could have done a better job myself. Next year I will not use them. They would always call the day before the treatment, sometimes they wouldn't even show up. Whoever I would call and talk with, they were nice enough but they would not follow thru. There are so many competitors out there. I will not give Tru-Green any more money.

Their product is better than the place I'm using this year. I'll be going back to them next year. The problem with these lawn services; I think if you pay for them in advance they are less responsive to you. If they come upon getting paid for the application they will apply things more punctually. In the future I won't pay in advance. You have to sometimes remind them to come, but their product works really well. Our lawn was eradicated of weeds. Their reliability is not as good as their product.

Had weeds present they came out for a respray after weeks of arguing and then I was charged again.

I stopped using them last year. ?I believe the cost was $45 per application. ?I didn't like their cold call tactics to try to up-sale services. ?Let me just say, even after I specifically asked them not to, they continued. ?That was the entire reason I switched to a new service.

I would possibly use them again. They did what they said they would do. They were very professional. Be careful not to rut the lawn.

Hired only for Mosquito sprays - supposed to get five in the package. Hired in May got our first spray June 7th and then nothing thereafter (having made numerous calls as to what was going on there) we got a second middle of July and we called as they needed to redo that one! Never showed! All and all you get what you pay for and they were positively the worst service we have hired in many years! We will go back to paying higher pricing with their stronger competitors who do what they say when they say as that's what business is all about! Totally disgusted I got a moment of cheapness in spring and decided to hire these folks as they were SO much cheaper - oh boy did I make a huge mistake!

I am still waiting to talk with someone. Left messages, no call backs yet.

I have been pleased with the service and plan on continuing to use them.

They could have probably treated our lawn, and communicated issues they experienced. They did not provide the service, or product they advertised.

The best part was, they're on time. They come when they say they're gonna come. The part that I don't like the most about Tru Green is, it's like a subscription service, it's not like every season. So, like if you forget over the time and don't tell them that you don't want service for the next year, they'll just assume that you want service for the next year. 

Our route person, Mr. Behlke. provides us with outstanding service and tips to keep our lawn green and thick with no weeds. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, courteous and devoted to keep us totally pleased with our service. To us, Mr. Behlke is who makes us a steady TruGreen customer. See you next spring!!

Claimed that they use the "right" chemicals to control weeds through the year. They were $20 per ap more expensive than my previous firm. Weed control was NOT good. Also just came out on 10/31 to do a regular fertilization. It should be a winterization. They applied no weed control. Back in September when they did my first application with them, I asked the guy what weed control chemical he was using and he didn't know "had to check the receipt". Pretty sure I would know if I was inhaling it while spraying it. Really just a national firm that looks for volume.

Absolutely the worst lawn care experience I have ever had in 41 years of owning a home! Our lawn was demolished by insects while the lawn care "professionals" stood by. I had to call them to alert them to the obvious damage while they continued to fertilize. Three different "professionals" came by (including manager Greg) and supplied three different diagnosis. Treated it twice with little results. Then they promised to aerate and slit seed for us and never showed up. My husband and I ended up treating it ourselves and having to re-seed over 1/3 of the yard which ended up being a very expensive proposition. Very sad that they call themselves professionals.

They were punctual. Overall their services were as expected although the weed control services that they provided weren't kind of as good as we had hoped. Part of what they did was just fine but the weed control case in particular didn't meet our expectations.

Paid for a years worth of fertilizing starting in spring of 2015. That included 7 or 8 applications of "customized" fertilizing and/or weed killing. That year has come and gone and my lawn looks no better than it did last year. Several times last year, the tech spraying hit flower beds and killed some plants. Further, several other times, the tech knowingly came out and spayed with it raining or forecasted rain on the way (a wasted application).
