My firm has been engaged in the drywall business in Waukesha and the Milwaukee area for over ten years now, with well over thirty years in the industry. I pride myself on being competitive, quality-oriented, and completing projects on time. I want to be considered your contracter for all your drywall and carpentry needs. Called Tim. Gave him a list to do. He went out and reviewed it. Came back and did all the work. Very professional, quality and first class. Sent me the invoice and I paid it. No questions asked. He just did what he said he was going to do. Could not have been better.

From the beginning to the end, Tim was a true pleasure to work with. Tim was understanding of our request and vision for the basement, respected and met the budget we had in place, was accurate in setting expectations around timelines for completion of work, always was respectful in letting us know when and where he was going to be during the process and last but not least, Tim turned out basement into a beautiful area that our family can now live in and enjoy.
As it the case with any project, there are issues that come up along the way that aren't planned for but must be taken care of - Tim handled these situations especially well. For example, we really wanted a coat closet door to be installed at the base of our stairwell that led to the basement. Due to low ceiling height under some duct work, there was no way around it other than to build a custom door that would require a full days work to build and install. Tim communicated what needed to be done and why, let us know how expenses could look like and built the custom door beautifully. On top of this, Tim went ahead and built out a custom fit closet shelf for us at no extra cost but did so because it was the right thing to do for the closet.
Simply put, Tim Haynes does his work the way it should be done. He is highly skilled, respectful of all aspects of the job, doesn't cut corners and always makes himself available for questions before, during and after the project begins.

It turned out very nice.
There were many variations in the walls and areas where it was difficult to get a good look. but Tim did a great job getting everything lined up and looking smooth.
Tim had a lot of good ideas about how to make the final look better too, which involved changes to how I had framed out the knee walls.
I had the materials delivered separately prior to Tim's arrival, and he was able to work on it while I was out of town.
Everything went very well, I'd definitely recommend his work and would hire him again in the future.

Let me start this review by saying that hiring Timothy Haynes to finish our basement was one of the best decisions we have ever made. From start to finish, Tim has exceeded our expectations at every turn, and delivered the type of high-quality work many contractors promise but never provide. We got estimates from half a dozen other contractors (most of whom are also on angieslist.com) who were charging over twice as much despite the fact they refused to provide many of the services Tim agreed to do without hesitation.
Tim is very courteous, highly professional, extremely hard-working and always goes out of his way to keep his customers happy. No matter how difficult it sometimes got to execute our plans, Tim never said "No, it's not possible." He'd always find a creative yet practical solution. For example, when we told him that we wanted our projection screen to be mounted above the ceiling so that it would be hidden when not extended, he made a perfectly-sized slit in the drop ceiling and framed it so well that it blends with the rest of the ceiling. You cannot tell that a screen is mounted above until it extends downward.
We also wanted to install a full bath in a location where there was no existing rough-in, due to the fact the original spot our builder used was not an ideal place for it. Tim was able to do that for us within our budget and without any hiccups.
Tim arrived promptly every morning and worked tirelessly until the evening (sometimes without a break). He always kept his work area very neat and clean, unlike some of the other projects we've seen by other contractors. He also does everything "by the book," making sure to get all of the proper permits and inspections.
Also, one of the things that sets him apart from the others is that he doesn't forget his customers when his work on a project is finished. Just a couple days ago, our dishwasher started to leak and the water seeped down onto the new basement ceiling, damaging a couple of the ceiling tiles. We messaged Tim late at night to inform him, and he was there right away the next day, even though it was a Sunday afternoon and he had already completed the project weeks before.
We cannot speak highly enough of the quality of work Tim provides. When you sign a contract with Tim, it's not just a piece of paper... It's the start of a new friendship.

He was very nice to talk to and came on time. He had all his tools in his truck. and even a computer for the recite. He took our old carburetor and gas tank home and brought new ones back; and fixed it. He struke me as a "people person". He was very warm and friendly and who knew what he was doing. He fixed the lawn mowers in just a couple days. I was very pleased with the work he did and would DEFINATLY recommend him and use him again!

I called Timothy the morning of October 6, 2014.
I told Timothy that I had to get some things done as quick as possible,

He works above the board with proper permits and building procedures. He has always kept me inform every step of the way. Projects have come in on or under budget. I had never done tile work before so I hired Tim to tile for me. He did a great job. He specializes in dry wall but he did excellent work. He cleans up after himself. His price reasonable. I don't recommend a lot of people but I would recommend him.

We found Tim through Angie's list in our initial estimation process. He is very professional and prompt. He gave us the estimate which was absolutely reasonable for the project. Tim did the planning our own ideas. We loved his way of keeping the job site clean. He didn't even compromise quality in any of the steps. He is very particular about his full satisfaction in his job. I strongly recommend him for any job. He is very knowledgeable in what he is doing. We loved the final output of the job. We enjoy every time when we go into the basement. He did the ceiling designs in rec room as well as in theater room. He did all kind of arches and nooks throughout the basement. He did a very nice arch in rec room and theater room seating area. Very perfectionist. If he thinks something is not good for his eyes, he will redo the work without caring the time. We liked that. All his sub contractors are nice to work with. Over all very nice experience working with Tim.

We had a leak in the upstairs bathroom so he removed and replaced the ceiling, two walls and the floor in the lower bathroom.
He replaced the plaster walls with drywall and installed new car siding on the one wall and ceiling just as it had been originally. He removed the wall paper from two of the walls that were not dagged and wall papered the three walls that were originally wallpapered. Installed new vinyl flooring and new wood work.
Very easy to work with and was open to any suggestions we had.

Tim did the Back Splashing in My kitchen. He did a awesome job of putting the granite tile and running a glass tile in the middle. He is very perfectionist in cutting the tile and putting them in order. Myself and my wife was very happy to see the finished work. We are enjoying the kitchen every time we see.

He is a no nonsense kind of guy. He won't tell you something he can't do, he stays within his realm of expertise. There is no gimmicks and he is very up front. He knows people to complete jobs he can't do, and he gives you a real peace of mind. I was impressed with his level of service.
He and his son even helped me move 2 truckloads of DIRT in his personal truck and placed it in my yard! IN THE RAIN!

The work was quality and Mr. Haynes and his crew were careful to lay proper protection and worked clean. My issue with Mr. Haynes is we had a contract that he is now attempting to collect additional fees for materials that were to be provided and not excluded in the contract. I have paid the contract in full according to its terms yet he is attempting to collect another $305.00 for paint. It was my understanding that all materials would be provided by the contractor. There are no exclusions or items in the section of the contract that say not included and need to be provided by the homeowner or the allowances section of the contract. Mr. Haynes sent me a notice of intent to lien. I have asked for a lien waiver and I have not been provided that document. I now will have to hire an attorney to resolve this contract dispute as he has not been responsive to work this issue out.

Tim was very professional and efficient from the beginning. I called him last minute to paint 3 rooms in a house that I had just purchased, so I wanted the work done within a few days before moving in. When he came over to give us a quote we asked him about getting rid of the horrible texture on the bottom of our walls. He was able to do that (which is nothing short of a miracle). Tim even had his brother come from Illinios to help him with job in order to finish in time for us to move in. While Tim was over painting, he willingly took over a job fitting and hanging 4 interior doors because the person who was doing it screwed up the job. His patience and skill with fitting and haning the doors was amazing since our house was built in 1925 and doesn't have a level spot in it. I will be using him again for the other big remodeling jobs in my house. HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!!!!

My basement flooded and I had to have half my walls cut out and he redid the walls. He dry walled, painted, rehung and trimmed a door that wouldn't shut. I would highly recommend him.

I called Tim with a last-minute paint job request (my original painter didn't show) on a Friday. He was able to come out that afternoon to provide me a quote, and start the job the following Saturday morning. He was so responsive and I was very grateful for that. Tim is also a really nice guy, and I immediately got the sense that he was an honest person. I will be calling him to do some drywall work in the future. And I would recommend him to friends.

Timothy Haynes was very neat and professional as well as nice and very, very reasonable. I had two other quotes for this job and he came in very low, I couldn't believe it. I had people trying to take advantage of me by quoting me prices like $8,000 to $10,000 to do the work. I gave Mr. Haynes a key to my house, he went in and had the job done in about 10 days. I was so amazed at the quality of the work and I am very, very happy. My basement looks way better than it did when I first bought my house 5 months ago. His work is outstanding, I think everyone should use him. He drywall and insulated my rec room, he painted, repaired some holes in the ceiling at no additional charge, he replaced baseboards and hung 4 six panel doors. Mr. Haynes is awesome.
