I left a pair of boots with them to repair. I was charged what was a fair amount, given that it was a service I couldn't do myself and would cost less than buying another pair. When I dropped them off, I asked when I should expect them to be done. They answered one month. This is fine, I realize that there are other customers who came before me and I don't know how hard/time consuming fixing shoes are. I came back one month later and they weren't done. Again, this is fine, sometimes it's hard to estimate how long projects will take. They told me to return in two weeks. When I did, they told me to return in one week. I came back again and they old me a few days. Again, and they said they'd have it done the next day. I should take this moment to note that there are significantly more visits to the store that didn't even yield responses. They have no phone number, so an in-person visit is the only way to get an update. They have their store hours listed on google, but whether they're open during that time was a roll of the dice. I've gone in the middle of the day on a weekday and found them closed. I've gone during their open hours, seen the sign saying it was open, and found the door locked. I've even gone when the sign said it was open, the door was unlocked, and there were people inside, only for those people to tell me they were closed. All this, while very frustrating, I could have tolerated, except for one thing. I went to pick up my boots again, two and a half months after first leaving them there, to find that the store had been entirely gutted, just an empty storefront. I left my number with them when I first dropped off my boots and they gave me no notification of them closing, or moving locations. They absconded with my shoes AND my money, leaving no clue of how to get either of them back. I paid them $83 dollars for the privilege of waiting for over two months and got nothing out of it.

Good quality of service - no issues. Be prepared for 4 week wait. Be prepared for a tiny shop filled to the brim with shoes to be repaired. Warning - do not lose your claim ticket, or you may never reclaim your shoe from the mountain of misfits.

Fantastic service! Employee saw me waiting in the car and welcomed me in before opening time. Tony assessed what was needed to fix a zipper on a boot and asked for my feedback before making an economical and effective fix. Paul asked for my input on an artisan leather briefcase sold there. All around wonderful experience!

My Mom had given me a very nice pair of Reikers black dress shoes. Each shoe has 3 "buttons" which serve as the fasteners for the elastic loop that attaches to them. One of them had come off when I was wearing them but didn't  realize it until later in the day. So I was looking for some sort of replacement button or fastener to match the others and didn't hold out too much hope. I read about the Cobbler's Bench on Angies List and decided to stop by. I showed the owner the problem and he wasn't sure if he could do anything. He said "give me a few minutes" and took the shoe into the back room. Within 10 minutes maximum, he reappeared with a new "button/fastener" which he had altered to make it work on the shoe. It wasn't an exact match but I could barely tell which one he had replaced. I was thrilled with his talent/problem solving and with the final result. He was helpful, courteous and professional. He charged me $5 plus tax but I gave him more for his on-the-spot solution. I walked out there as a very satisfied customer and was so happy that I could once again wear the shoes that my dear Mom had given to me.

While the gentleman didn't openly greet me very friendly upon entering the shop, he was kind and professional in the service.  When I told him what I needed he asked if I had a few minutes to wait and that they could repair them right away.  I was thrilled to be able to get them done right then and went outside to wait as I had my dog with me in the car.  He came out to get me a few minutes later when my shoes were ready.  Very pleased with the service. Will definitely go back again when I have a need.

I had been having difficulty with a sticking zipper on my winter coat.  The zipper had reached the point that it was nearly useless.  Thought I was looking at a new zipper, but the folks at Cobbler's Bench quickly diagnosed the problem as a worn slider.  Replaced the slider in less than 10 minutes, while I waited.  They charge $40 for a zipper replacement, so I appreciated their honesty in recommending only a replacement of the slider (costing $10).  I have another sticking zipper that I'll definitely have them work on as well.

Had a loose handle on a handbag (stitching was loose) and a missing zipper slide on another bag. They took care of both items while I waited, and the quality of the repairs were top-notch, friendly, and professional. I would use and recommend this shop again in a heartbeat.

Amazing service. My repair was done the same day! After years of living in Waukesha and chasing cobblers who never show up, have impossible hours or have a 3 week turnaround, this little gem showed up thanks to Angie's List. I will never go anywhere else. They do every kind of shoe repair and also do leather repair, purses, luggage. I could not be happier. GREAT guy, great service, great results!

He was amazing. He repaired my heel while I waited. Another place was going to take two months to get that done. He was a super friendly, nice guy. He gets your schools done quickly. And he seems to know what he's doing. He's experienced.
