i called Scott to come out to repair a minor leak on my spa. First he told me to check connections myself which I did, but it still leaked. I called a couple of times to have him come out and he finally did. He found the leaks and was going to get parts. The weather was below freezing and he told me to move the temporary heater from where I had it located in the cabinet near the pumps to the far side of the cabinet. By the time he came back to fix the initial leaks, he found that the pump had frozen, most likely due to his suggestion of moving the heater, and now the wet end of the pump needed replacement as well as the pipes connecting the pump at a significantly higher cost than the initial repair. I needed to wait on the repair as the cost was now quite high. I called him over a month ago to do the repairs and he said he'd look up his notes and get back to me. I have called him 7 times, left messages when his voice mail would answer, sent him an email off his website, and my last 2 phone calls got no answer as his voice mail did not pick up. He had left the spa torn apart with the pump removed. I have now contacted a reputable repair company who has given me an estimate to do the repairs. Had the initial leak been repaired in a timely manner and the heater not been moved, this would have been a minor repair. It is now a major repair or a total replacement of the spa. Scott had done a repair for me in the past when all went well and he was attentive to his service. If he didn't want to come back and finish the repair this time, a simple phone call to tell me would have been fine and I could have contacted someone else sooner. His lack of attention and professionalism in finishing this work is very disappointing and will be very costly for me.

Scott called on the morning of the appointment to confirm and set expectation on his arrival time. He replaced a motor capacitor and a blower motor (I provided) within an hour. Hot tub is working like new.

I spoke to the owner of Reidy Spa Service on the phone from work the following the morning. He was very friendly and came right away to take care of the problem. While I did not get to meet Mr Reidy or his son, they were great on the phone. I felt the price was very fair and had myself a working spa by the time I returned home from work the same day. I would definately recommend this company and WILL be calling them again in the future.

A wonderful experience..Scott was a pleasure to work with!!! He diagnosed the problem! Ordered the parts and was just plain awesome to do business with! Aside from repairing my spa he was a total professional, giving me tip after tip on the upkeep of my spa! I also ordered a new cover from him and when he delivered it took the time to install a lifer for me never acting rushed....giving me even more tips!!!

I called and left a message with Scott that my spa was leaking inside the housing behind the pump and needed an evaluation and possible repair. He got back to me promptly and made an appointment to look at it within a day or two of the call. I had originally called the company where I had purchased the spa and they said they were very busy and it would be at least a week if not 2 weeks to look at it. Scott determined the extent of the leak as being cracked pipes and we scheduled a time when he would come back with the parts and repair it. The repair appointment was delayed because of bad weather which was totally understandable. He was concerned that he wanted to do the repair right and the weather needed to be better. He came back with all the parts, took everything apart and installed the new parts. While he was working and while the spa was filling, we spent a considerable amount of time talking about the best ways to run a spa and how the use of chemicals could be reduced considerably. Scott is very knowledgeable about spas and is happy to share his expertise with his customers. With his advise, I will be able to save a considerable amount of money on chemicals for the spa. I had not used the spa for almost a year because a previous leak had been repaired by the company that sold me the spa, but it never totally stopped leaking and it was very inconvenient to keep refilling the spa. It was either find someone who could repair it totally within an acceptable price or get rid of the spa. Scott saved the spa, saved me a bunch of money on chemicals and got everything back up and working in a very professional manner. I would highly recommend Scott to anyone in need of spa and hot tub repairs!

He was great! We agreed to meet at 10 and when I arrived he had already discovered the problem. We discussed best solution and proceeded with such. Had it done in a half hour! He also provided me with a clean bill of health as to the hot tub which was reassuring as I am selling it and wanted to make sure it was working properly. I would NOT hesitate to contact Reidy Spa Services again.

Spa was tripping a fuse every 15-20 minutes.
Scott came in, diagnosed the problem, and replaced four burnt wires.
Also found some other minor issues when diagnosing the intial problem but those didn't need attention at this time.

He specializes in spa repair only and works on all makes and models. He strikes me as honest and fair and has been at this long enough that he's seen most problems and can troubleshoot pretty efficiently. A great resource if you're trying to maintain an older spa. I thought his labor rate and trip charge was reasonable. Would recommend and will use again.
My story: Rearranged his schedule to accommodate repair of my problem made urgent by an upcoming party. Arrived on time and he trouble shooted for a short period and identified the problem. I had a leaky light assembly that was causing a short and he didn't have one on his truck (there would be no way to stock that kind of part on a general service truck). He was prepared to order it and return when the part came in (he estimated a week). I asked if the part could be sourced locally and installed quickly and he directed me to a competitive source. To make a long story short he prepped for the repair while I ran for the part. When I returned he installed it and my party was saved! No problems since the repair so he was 100% spot on in his diagnosis.

The job went very well. We have used him before to keep it running for us. He really had to troubleshoot a lot to figure out the problem. He determined that the problem was with the pump and he replaced it. He also replaced some old parts that needed replacing. I was impressed with his keeping the old machine running for me. He came back another day to finish the job because he had to go and get certain parts. He didn't charge me for his time the second day because it had taken him so long to troubleshoot that he felt it wasn't fair to charge me the entire amount for his time.

EXCELLENT! VERY PROMPT TO ANSWER PHONE CALLS, SHOW UP & DIAGNOSE PROBLEMS. HAD THE HEATER CORE & O-RINGS REPLACED ON FIRST VISIT. CAME BACK WITH ROTARY SWITCH & REPLACED. SOLENOID ON BACK ORDER, SO A THIRD VISIT. NO EXTRA CHARGES FOR RETURN VISITS, JUST THE INITIAL ONE, AND ANY LABOR HOURS! ALSO OFFERED A LOT OF FREE ADVICE ON MAINTAINING THE SPA.
