I contracted with Luke Bassler owner of L&B Home Improvements (Pewaukee) in May of 2012 to replace the wood floor on my front porch.  His contract stated that the job would be started the second week of June and done within 2 weeks.  He was given $2000. to purchase the Douglas Fir wood and stain. He didn't start until 31 days later, ripped about 1/3 of floor boards off. It was determined that new footings were needed. New contract & he was given another $600. 8/14/12 for the footing work.  Little was done all summer and we never saw the wood.  He did a little of the work, but never came near to completed the job. Footings not completed and no wood placed on porch.  He left my front porch without most of the floor and unsafe.  In October I demanded the $2600. back from Bassler, but never received it.  Small claim filed October 18, 2012.  Judgement was in my favor.  I am still owed me close to $2000 from the judgement against Bassler & L&B.
In November we contracted with someone else to do the work who did the job very nicely.

It went perfectly. I couldn't be more pleased. They got all the windows done in one day. The new windows really reduce the outdoor sounds. They were very professional and right on target of the estimate. They communicated very well and were very honest. If he wouldn't do the work in his own home, he wouldn't do it to a customers'. I would highly recommend him.

Our project date was continuously pushed back. The information we were told in emails never lined up with each other or with the research we did once we got worried about our project. After 90 days we are still waiting to get the $8000 refund from services not rendered.
