JBD PAINTING

We were new to the area so had to rely on very little information (should have joined up here first)! We call this the sistine chapel of paint jobs, and it wasn't even that great. The job went way over schedule because he'd scheduled us back to back with someone else, too tightly, it turns out; there were numerous touch-ups needed after the job was "complete," some of which he did gratis and some of which were charged, we'd gone too far with this to go somewhere else, but really, it was not a very good experience. He did not seem particularly sincere about his work, and while the workers were pleasant enough, they were not all terribly professional. Three years on, the paint is not holding up as it should.

OTHER THAN A DELAY DUE TO THE WEATHER IT WAS A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, VERY RESPECTFUL OF MY NEIGHBORS AND I, NOT TO MENTION THEY WERE SO UNINTRUSIVE IT WAS HARD TO TELL THEY HAD BEEN HERE (EXCEPT FOR THE BEAUTIFUL FINISH ON MY DECK). I APPRECIATED JIM'S STRAIGHT FORWARD SPECIFICATION OF THE WORK HE WAS GOING TO DO AND WHY.

DID NOT SHOW UP. DIDN'T SEEM GENUINELY SINCERE FOR WHY HE DIDN'T SHOW UP. DID NOT FOLLOW THROUGH ON HIS WORD OF CALLING THE NEXT DAY TO RESCHEDULE THE APPOINTMENT FOR THE ESTIMATE.

HAD TO REMOVE WALLPAPER AND DO LOTS OF MUDDING. PRIMED AND PAINTED WALLS. THE GUY CARRIES A CELL PHONE SO HE IS EASILY REACHED AND IS VERY RESPONSIVE. I PAID HALF WHEN HE STARTED AND THE OTHER HALF UPON COMPLETION. THEY GAVE A 1 YEAR WARRANTY ON THE WORK.
