I did not have an appointment, but they had room for me right away, so I stayed and the car was done in 20 minutes. I have been using Hopson Auto Repair for about 17 years. I take all my cars there, unless it has to do with warranty work. They have been honest, fair in price and always on time. I have never been disappointed with their service or work.

A friend of mine recommended Hopson auto to me. After his recommendation I looked them up on Angies list. Sinse they were listed I gave them a shot. I called and made an appointment with a nice young lady who answers the phone and got in with in a couple days.
My initial contact was a little awkward. They took my car into the shop and looked it over. They came to me with a dirty sheet of paper with figures on it with the cost of the repair. As this was my first time dealing with this shop I had not developed a relationship and my encounter seemed a little cold and impersonal. I am used to dealing with car dealership repair facilities with their high speed computer printouts, nice clean logoed shirts and their smiling sales tecniques verbage used to make you feel that their work is excellent and their prices are the best. I asked to talk to the mechanic and see the issues they found just to be sure of what they found. Remember this was my first time dealing with these guys and I wanted to be sure of what they were telling me.
A person who seemed to be the shop supervisor took me to the mechanic who identified my problem. He showed me why the breaks were squeeking and explained the required work to fix the problem. After talking to the mechanic and seeing the problem, I was assured that this was the problem and understood the fix. The job was one in reasonable length of time and everything works great.
Their initial evaluation/diagnosis fee was $17.00. . Had I not gotten the breaks fixed at that time the cost would have been $17.00 + Tax. Sinse I did get it fixed that fee was applied to the overall bill. Its been a while sinse I paid for a front break job but this price seemed pretty reasonable to me for 2 rotors a set of front pads and the labor. But just being curious I called the Chrysler dealer and asked for an estimate on a front break job....... Are you ready for this..... 450.00+ tax. REALLY!!!
Conclusion:
I'm sure that in time I will develope a personal relationship with the people at Hopson. In the mean time, I am convinced that these guys are really good at what they do. They my not have all the circus props of a car dealership but give me good service at a reasonable price and I'm good without the circus act. I will use them again and would recommend them to my friends and family.

It went very well because during the course of his work he had to remove a exspensive belt. He asked me if it would be alright if he could replace the belt since it had never been changed since we had bought the car. He did not charge any extra labor charges because he was already working on the alternator so I was not charged two times for labor. He is component and honest and I would recommend him highly. On that same visit I also asked him to perform a safety inspection and to check the battery for winter he charges about $48 dollars for that service and he confirmed for me that all things were good for the winter. Now I can place my wife in that car and feel that she is safe to drive to it for the winter.

I have used Hopson's for several years for a number of different auto repairs. Their prices for the work are average for the service performed. However, they are very honest about what repairs are needed and will not perform unnecessary repairs. On multiple occasions I have had other auto repair shops quote me over $1000 for multiple issues they diagnosed. When I took the same vehicle to Hopson's they quoted me much less needed work and an overall bill of 50-60% less. They are also always very quick in performing the service, and I have never had to return after the work was completed. I am a very satisfied and loyal customer and have recommended Hopson's to multiple people that are also now loyal customers.

They are always able to get your vehicle in quickly, usually the next day. You can drop car off after business hours if need be. They always call and give you repair options before working on car. They have always been totally honest and reasonable with us. Vehilce is always done on time. If you can not get there to pick up before they close can give them credit card number and retrieve vehicle whenever it is convenient for you. HAVE NEVER HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH ANY ASPECT OF OUR ENCOUNTERS.

Hopson completed the work on schedule for the price they quoted. They proposed 4 hours for the work and finished within that time frame. They also alerted me to the poor condition of the tires on the car. A replacement recommendation was made with price quote, time to order the tires, and time required to complete the work if so chosen. I ended up ordering the tires for replacement about a week later.
