I was very disappointed with them because of two things. They are just the middle people and we had problems. The person that was verifying the work was in Minnesota, so they over charged, they didn't clean up. It was a terrible mess. Everybody did something but the plumber was still nice, he came back and fixed it. He had put the hot where the cold was, and he had mixed it up so our drinking water was always hot. I was very disappointed in the fact that the people who came out and talked to us weren't there. No one was checking on them. All of the outlets they put in were crooked, so I had to go back and unscrew them and straighten them up. They dug a big hole in the yard, and they just left it, they didn't do anything to clean it up. The electricians were probably the worst. They had done a new box because we had an old box and that was okay, except that they dripped stuff on my dryer that was like glue or some gum or something that I could never get off. It was just very frustrating. I spent way more money than I needed to. I was going to do the whole thing myself. My friend said I couldn't do it. I have worked with cabinets when I was much younger. All they had to do was line them up, and they couldn't line them up. It was goofy, because they put the dishwasher but they didn't put enough insulation in, so all the cabinets around it are heating up. It has been like 2 years ago. They made holes and then they just plastered it, and they didn't do a very good job, and I didn't do a very good job. They put a strip under the corner window, and now the counter top is cut out to go under the outlets that don't need to be there. It was extremely frustrating. We have been here about 33 years and the day we got it, I wanted a new kitchen, and I did a lot of tearing up. I always wanted to do it, and I got so excited that I allowed them to rip me off. They had forgot to bring one of the covers, they said it was not on the contract, so they charged me $100. I went back and said that the cover is $2 and they screwed it up. They didn't put a new outlet, they just put a cover on it so I got the $100 off. Later on I was thinking that I had never done this before and when they did the contract, they had included the price of the cabinets, but I had went and bought them because they were taking so long. I got charged twice for the cabinets, and they kept on saying they are waiting. I told them I have them in the garage and they can bring them in the kitchen because it was 6 months. I got ripped off that way too. I kept on complaining but they didn't understand that I had paid for the cabinets separate from the contract that included the cabinets. The guy was just lying to me and now I know that. I trusted them. All the companies worked directly for Home Depot. Home Depot that mismanaged it. They got contractors that they don't verify, so there was no checks of balances. They told me everybody gets good reviews and they will call me and I can call them. They never called me because I wouldn't give them good reviews. You cannot hire them separately, you can only hire them through Home Depot. I wanted the plumber to do some extra work, and he said it was not on the contract. He said he only works through Home Depot. It took a whole 6 months before anything could be started. I literally went down to the floor boards and walls, I took everything down. It would have cost more if they did it, so I did it myself. I thought I would save money, and I think they figured that in the price. I kept on calling them. They came in September, and by that time I had brought the cabinets in the house. Before we had upper cabinets and lower cabinets. They didn't put the counters in, they said it was the counter top people, and the counter top people said it was the people who put the counter in. All they did was put it to the wall. I didn't have the right tool, if I had the tool, I could have done it for $80 versus the $1000 that they charged me. The biggest thing that I don't think people are aware of is that you have to go through people, and there shouldn't be a person overlooking from a different state, they should have someone close by who comes everyday. They didn't have somebody from each contractor. There was one guy who was so goofy. He said it was okay, and I said it was not, and you could tell that he was new and he was just a kid. We had him come out a couple of times because they didn't finish the wiring and he said it was okay. I said not to bother as I would do it myself. When they say they are going to do it, it is kind of a lie because they don't actually do it. They charge twice what you normally would pay if you got a contractor. I was trying to save money, I did the floor, the demo, and some of the patching. I paid for probably twice than if I had done it. The contract had all the plates, and they said it only had 4. I can't show them because they are in another state. We had to pay them $8000 and the things that I had to do, it came to almost $10,000. They didn't clean up after themselves, a lot of times I ended up sweeping and doing things outside. They changed the meter outside, and they left the other one open. They said I have to cover it. I said I was not going to pay more for them to finish it and they should cover it up. There wasn't one thing that I didn't have to call them to fix. There were some things that they could have done if they just thought about it. They were young and the guy that was originally talking to me never came out to check what they were doing. Not only are they the middle people so you are paying twice, but they don't check things, they don't make it right. To me it was unreasonable to charge double to call a person from Minnesota. I think the pricing was terrible. He pressured me to sign it and I never saw him again. He made a lot of promises. The sales person had nothing to do with it, and everybody that I asked about the sales said that was not true and he should not have said that. One had to come back again, but he actually did good work, it was just that he hooked up the wrong line. They might have said when they would come, but they may have cancelled and it was okay when they figured it out. They weren't professional. I told them I was bothered by the smoke, and they smoked outside, but they were blowing smoke as they walked in, or the doors were open, and that to me was highly unprofessional. I would not consider using them again.

The initial install went well. The windows were a great improvement in weatherproofing compared the the wooden windows and storms they replaced.
Since completion I have had to get three of the new window sashes replaced due to failure of the seal and fogging between the window panes. The first was handled by the people at Home Depot, but more recently when I needed to get the two others replaced the people in the windows area told me I had to contact American Craftsman directly. The only way to do that was to write them a letter describing the exact replacements (thankfully I still had the original paperwork after 14 years). Then they produced the replacements and eventually delivered them to my local Home Depot for pickup.
More recently I experienced a catastrophic failure of one of the windows when the upper sash's pot metal peg that fits into a pivot in the window frame where the window pivots out for cleaning broke. The window fell, damaging the frame and the lower sash. The entire unit needs to be replaced.
So I went to Home Depot and talked to the person back at the "Doors and Windows" desk. She told me they don't handle warranty claims anymore but the windows and installation are both guaranteed for life by Home Depot. She gave me an 800 number to call at their installation services branch to arrange for replacement.
When I called that 800 number, the very nice lady there told me she could not find any record of my purchase or installation in her computer and she could not help me, even though I held the original paperwork detailing both in my hand. She said that installation must have been done by the local Home Depot store and I had to go back to them for satisfaction.
I then tried to call the American Craftsman toll free number to see if I could get them to replace the window unit. After waiting in a queue for several minutes, someone picked up the phone and set it down again, disconnecting. I tried calling two more times and experienced the same intentional disconnect (though thankfully without having to listen to the really bad music while waiting).
Customer service for warranty support has absolutely plummeted at Home Depot.

The cost of the refrigerator was very comparable to others, but the warranty offered was much more extensive. The delivery guys were very polite and professional. They made sure everything was set up correctly, answered any questions I had and cleaned up any mess made by the packaging and installation. I was completely satisfied and would not hesitate to buy from them again. Re

They were very good. I have had good luck with them and I found that their employees were knowledgeable and responsive to my needs. I think that they are a very reputable company and they stand by their products and what they show. They also do whatever they can to make the customer happy.

I thought they were very good. The cabinet refacing was about $5,000 and the granite counter were $3,000 or something.

We had some work done recently by the HOME DEPOT. The front door was was kind of shockingly expensive. We got a high quality door, we definitely upgraded. It has glass in it, it wasn't just the door it had side lights to it. The whole door frame had side lights and the door. It's really pretty, it's very nice. All and all it was worth it and they did a wonderful job installing it. The guy at the store was very good about patiently walking us through all the options. There were lots of different options. It was a very positive experience I would say.

Excellent. Home Depot is a good store, and shopping there is a pleasant experience.
Do look up Ed in the Appliance section.
Do shop at Home Depot. It's such a relief to have people around who can assist you.

We didn’t have a receipt that told us what our total price was when they refunded us 10%. We gave them the price that we bought it at. The salesperson was very good, very professional, and very knowledgeable. The majority of the reviews that I read about Home Depot online were good. There were also some that weren’t that good.

We went into the store while Home Depot was having a sale on Corian counter tops. We were quoted a price and began to place our order. Just as we were about to sign the paperwork we were told that the price did NOT include counter top removal or disconnection and reconnection of the faucet and garbage disposal. We left the store that day but chose to come back after determining we could handle the removal and sink connection ourselves. Someone was sent out to measure the counter tops within a few days and the counter tops were ready within about 2 1/2 - 3 weeks. The contractor used for installation, McDermott, was great and the counter tops look fabulous. The installers took the time to explain how to care for and maintain the counter tops as well as the ceramic sink. I would definitely recommend them.

I feel that they have educated their sales associates poorly, because they're not as knowledgeable - in the process of getting the countertops, nobody knew what the other person was doing. It was very irritating because Home Depot would tell us to speak with the installer and vice-versa. They don't seem to have any problem with how they're doing their stuff, which is poor, because that's going to turn a lot of people off.

Terrible. Setting up the install was difficult. The scheduling company was hard to get in contact with. The installers left a huge mess. They did not vacuum after the installation. Then after they left I discovered that they never cut out the hole over the heat vent! The carpeting never looked good. It tracked terribly and shed fibers like crazy! After five months, the carpeting looked very bad and worn. They did replace the carpeting at no cost. The second time, the installation left us with a few crinkle sounding spots when you step on them. I was so tired of calling in that I decided to live with it. Now, another several months later, this carpeting is also looking a little shabby. Not as bad as the first one but I would definitely not buy carpeting from Home Depot again.

The company was professional, and gave us the information requested. The measurement did not take long and the workers were on time. The quote was given to us in a timely manner. The product was a good quality and a good price.

THESE GUYS ARE GREAT! ALL SIX OR SEVEN EMPLOYEES THAT WORK THE VARIOUS SHIFTS AT THIS TOOL RENTAL ESTABLISHMENT ARE ALL ON THE SAME SHEET OF MUSIC. I GET QUICK, EXEMPLARY SERVICE EVERY TIME I GO. I WOULD SUGGEST DRIVING PAST OTHER PLACES JUST TO RENT A TOOL FROM THIS HOME DEPOT CENTER.

VERY POSITIVE. YOU ONLY PAY ''AS YOU GO'' FOR THE MEASUREMENT, THE DEPOSIT ON THE DOOR, THE INSTALLATION, AND WHEN IT'S FINISHED, THE BALANCE. I WAS IMPRESSED, AND THE DOOR IS GREAT.

WE INTERVIEWED AND SOUGHT BIDS FROM MANY ROOFERS, ON AND OFF ANGIES LIST. WE DECIDED TO GO WITH THE HOME DEPOT AT HOME SERVICES, INC. BECAUSE OF THE NAMESAKE, NO COMPANY COULD COME CLOSE IN INSURANCE COVERAGE (DURING CONSTRUCTION) AND THE ASSURANCES OF QUALITY CRAFTSMANSHIP WAS BACKED UP BY FANCY BROCHURES WITH WARRANTIES AND MEGA-GUARANTEES. WE WERE WRONG. FROM THE VERY BEGINNING THE AT HOME SERVICES SALES REP MISCOMMUNICATED OR FAILED TO COMMUNICATE MANY PARTICULARS TO THE ROOFING CREWS WHO WERE SUBCONTRACTORS. THE ROOF ON OUR 1933 LANNON STONE CAPE COD HOME NEEDS ALMOST TOTAL REPAIR. AN ENTIRE SIDE OF THE GARAGE NEEDS TO BE REDONE BECAUSE OF INCORRECT SIZED LUMBER BEING USED IN DECKING REPAIR (IT DIPS BADLY, VERY VISIBLE) THERE ARE TWO SIMILAR AREAS ON THE HOUSE. THE VENTS (INSTALLED INCORRECTLY) COULD BE CAUSING WATER DAMAGE WITH ALL THE SPRING RAINS; THEY HAVE BEEN SLOW AND NON-RESPONSIVE IN CORRECTING THE PROBLEM.

OVERALL, I WAS PLEASED WITH THE QUALITY OF THE WORK AND JOB. IT WAS PERFORMED TECHNIQUE-WISE AS THEY SAID THAT THEY WOULD. SPELLED OUT IN A WRITTEN PROPOSAL. HOWEVER, THEIR MAIN FAULTS ARE LACK OF BEING PUNCTUAL. I.E. DOING THE JOB WITHIN A DATE RANGE AS PROMISED. MY PHONE CALLS WERE NOT RETURNED ON A TIMELY BASIS. EXPECT A GOOD OVERALL JOB, BUT HOME DEPOT IS NOT VERY WELL COORDINATED WITH THEIR CONTRACTORS IN CARRYING OUT THEIR PROMISES OF TIME.
