At Green Man Tree Services we provide our customers with peace of mind. Our arborists and ground crew have all been professionally trained, and safety is our number one priority. We also take our job very seriously, and skill along with some of the best equipment available in the industry allows us to do a tremendous amount of work in a short period of time. We pride ourselves in offering outstanding services at little cost to the environment. Inspired by the Green Man legend, Green Man Tree Services carries on a tradition of respect and appreciation for our natural surroundings. We are a family owned business that offers simple and practical solutions to being “Green". We recycle nearly 100% of all the wood that we remove from our customer's properties. Green Man did an excellent job. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and professional throughout the entire process, from the quote all the way to the final stump grinding. I expected to have to do a lot of cleanup, but the Green Man team pretty much took care of everything. Yard looks great and the only real task I have left is to plant some grass. Price is was very fair. I highly recommend and would definitely hire them again.

They did a wonderful job. On the day of the job an employee reviewed the area where machinery would travel. He talked to my neighbor about his pool that would be affected by saw dust. Organized work with other companies doing repairs in the area and helped me remove plants i wanted to keep safe. The area was cleaned before they left. One of the trees had to be taken down by arborist. The price was very reasonable for the job that was done. Everyone was very professional. Work was done safely.

Green man did an excellent job removing three spruces and the stumps from my front yard. They got it done well ahead of schedule and when complete you could barely find any remains of the trees which made it very easy for me to seed and grow grass. The price was fair as well, I highly recommend Green Man.

They were fabulous. The price was an excellent price. They did everything I had agreed with them that they would do. I had actually had some vbruch c brush in the back of my driveway that I was planning on burning and they took that away for me. They went above and beyond. They were very professional, worked very quickly and I would definitely use them again. I have very high respect from them. I will use them again.

Everything went extremely well. Dan, Julie, and their entire team are very professional and they work with you to achieve your goals. I especially liked that they were very mindful of our budget and worked with us to ensure that we kept as close to our budget as possible. The crews who came to do the various jobs were very respectful of our property and did a nice job of cleaning up. They also put in very full days. Except for a short lunch break, you always saw them working. They were very good about explaining what they were going to do and giving an accurate estimate of the time it would take. They went above and beyond to make this project a pleasant and positive experience for us. I look forward to their return in the autumn when we plan to replace the trees that were removed and also plant some bushes where the grading was done. I can't say enough good things about my Green Men!

Overall the process was easy. There were some slight delays on the tree removal schedule do to a busy time of year, but the reschedules were clearly communicated. Because I called at the end of the season, they recommended that I do the lawn aeration in the spring. I called and arranged for the service in the spring without issue.

They first started with the removing the trees, stump grinding the remains, preparing the soil by rototilling, laying the sod. They carefully placed the field stone at the end of the sod and and then on the lot line to keep a natural look for the remaining trees. They then filled this in with mulch. The major portion of the job was the creation of the lannon stone flower beds. They dug a deep trench to properly secure the stones to build up the bed. The stone was of high quality and looked amazing behind the new sod. The flower beds were then rototilled and more soil was added. The soil was perfect for planting since it was taken from their compost bin. During the project I had a few minor matters that Dan and his crew corrected quickly. Overall I am very pleased with their work. They transformed my backyard from an unfinished remains of a tree lined lot to a source of pride. Dan was great to work with! I found him to be creative, honest and personable. I would hire then again without hesitation. I have recommended them to friends and family.

The process of working with GMT&LS was effortless. The quote for service took about 3-5 business days before I received it in the mail. I only needed to sign it and send it back to accept, which was a plus in my book. Within another 3-5 days from mailing it back, the tree was removed and the stump was removed a few days later. No mess was left behind. I had asked for the yard to be aerated and they recommended that I call back in the fall when it was more appropriate to have this work done.

Watch out for these guys. They have a new twist on the bait and switch. Dan came out to give a quote on removing the 2 trees. The quote was right on the money as far as I was concerned $450.00. They came out a few weeks later and cut down the trees. There was no indication at that time that there was a problem. The trees were gone but the stumps were still in the ground. Two weeks later I get a message that All of a sudden now it wont be possible to grind the stump. Apparently there were some stones that grew into the trunk as the tree was growing and who ever was using the chain saw ruined not 1, not 2, but 3 chains ( i guess i would have stopped after 1) So Dan tells me that he doesnt want to ruin his stump grinder and I should go to Steins and purchase a chemical to rot the stump ( this from a company that is suppose to be "green"). He did give me a $70 credit for not chipping the stump but then turns around and bills me $42.00 for 3 chains. Im glad he didnt have a flat tire on the way over or I would have paid for that too I suppose. So my final bill is just slightly less than quoted and Im sitting here with 2 stumps in my yard.

"Unfortunately this customer was not satisfied with our services. As much as we try to please every one of our customers, and provide them with a service they will brag about to their friends, it is just not possible 100% of the time. We feel very strongly that this particular customer portrayed us in a much more negative light than is fair. We gave him an extrmemly competitive price for the service, and attempted to complete the job as it had been written in the quotation. There was no way for us to know in advance that there were stones embedded in the stumps of these Cedar trees. We destroyed 3 saw chains in an effort to complete the job as promised, but to no avail. We did not dare attempt to grind the stumps with our stump grinder, as the circular blade is extremely expensive, and would have been ruined as well. We did everything we could to keep up our end of the contract, and yet the customer still was dissatisfied with the end result. Guess you can't win them all. All I can ask is that you read thru our other reviews, and see how many of our customers give us an 'A' rating. We do our best to provide our customers with excellent service, and we certainly hope you can look past this 1 review."

They came on time and were very efficient in taking down the trees. They were personable and professional and they cleaned up after themselves. Only issue was some debris that fell over the back fence and was left behind. Otherwise very pleased with service and price.

The tree triming went well and my overall experience with the owner was pleasant (very nice, polite, sincere guy). Tree removal went fine (again very nice guy to deal with). Snow removal caught me off guard - was quoted approx 45 for removal first removal was that plus the cost of 50 pounds of salt (not cheap). Next time said do not use so much salt. The next removal was for a huge storm; however, did not expect to pay 3 times the quoted cost - workers came twice in same day and I had to call to have them finish the job (had left the walkway). Chose to not use them again for snow/removal as cost was outrageous. Stump removal and clean up from tree removal was first sign, in retrospect, that things would go downhill. During stump removal I told them to be careful for the city drain (and be sure to not clog) - they broke the drain cover (a heavy cast iron/steel grate) and clogged the drain. At the same time, I agreed to some landscaping (a berm) because they had just purchased (and the workers/experience came with the purchase). The workers (who apparently were eventually let go) did a terrible job - I got a clay berm with very little top soil and landscaping fabric. They tore up the lawn and caused indentations (from the truck tires) that ruined the grading of the lawn. The seeding job and repair job to fix the lawn on the side of the house was terrible (did the bare minimum to attempt to fix) - three summers (2008, 2009 and 2010) I am still working to fix the lawn. The berm is a complete disaster (clay, weeds, holds water because changed grading and water runoff accumulates into a swampy mess on the north side of the berm) - I was promised something but got something completely different. After delaying payment, the owner and I met to discuss. He did want to fix the issue and at his cost, added a layer of wood chips (the amount of weed growth was and remains virtually uncontrollable). The wood chip job was okay, but because the berm was very poorly done the chips do not cover well. I am saving money to fix the berm disaster (quotes exceed 5,000). The owner very sincerely wanted to have things go well; however, the end result is still a disaster and for me fixing means having something that is good not still a disaster.

Called office for an estimate. Someone left one in my door the next day. Scheduled the service a couple of weeks later. Work was done two days after I scheduled it. Invoice was sent to me in the mail. I did not have to be present while the technician was performing the work. Great experience overall.

We have signed for a yearly contract with them and they have been out a couple of times now. The price depends on what they are doing. They charge around $25 to $30 per visit. I would recommend them. The price that they charge for the organic treatment seems to be good. They seem to do a good job.
