BILL RANKIN HOME IMPROVEMENTS

Bill can do anything!  He has been continuously working on the house, and he always does the job well.  One area in which Bill excels is listening to the wishes of the client.

I felt that their price for the fence work was fine, because they had to do a lot of work. The price for the windows was also fine. Working with them is a very collaborative process. They didn't do things without asking me, and they did really good work. When the work was done, it looked really good. They are very knowledgeable about a lot of types of work. If you're having an unexpected problem, they will figure out what is wrong.

Bill and Mike installed the new door in one day. They reused the hardware from the old door, making sure it fit properly and locked correctly.

Bill has one person that always works with him. He also called in two specialists to help with what we were wanting to do. They were trying to re-create some custom work on a 75 year old house. We wanted it to look original. The work came out beautifully.

This was a small project that other contractors weren't interested in. Bill originally didn't have room in his schedule, but he made time to give me a hand. We arranged to start at 8:30am. Bill arrived around 8:15, ready to go to work. Three and a half hours later, we had the window in, including designing and making support brackets. We had hit a snag when we realized there wasn't enough room between the top of the window and the soffit to use the cable supports supplied with the window and the brackets became "Plan B". The project went smoothly and we are well-pleased. We want to add a porch to the house next year and we will definitely use Bill's services.

He was prompt and did the work in record time. He was very courteous and professional. I would hire him again.

I told Bill I wanted the addition to look like it was built with the house, not added on later. He was meticulous in matching the siding, tying in the roof line to the existing roof, etc. The addition looks like it was planned and built with the house. When we ran into a problem with the footings (after approval by the city inspector), due to undisclosed crummy fill, Bill immediately called in a subcontractor to install the steel pilings needed to correct the problem. This did result in the project costing more than the estimate, but Bill did not charge for removing the first footings. He does excellent work and is a good problem solver. I am planning a bathroom remodel and will definitely work with Bill on it. Bill's prices are reasonable and he offers alternatives to save money.

Very well. Can do attitude, which was perfect, as nothing I had chosen was normal in any way, 1950's sink and pulls, crazy integrated dish drawer, cabinets that had to be perfectly fitted into a very tight space. Prompt and professional, good communication and fair pricing.

We called Bill, he and his associate came over within an hour to look and give us an estimate. He was able to schedule our work very quickly. He is very good at explaining what he is going to do and why. He may seem to take a little longer to complete a job compared to others, but his work is well worth it. His attention to detail is unmatched. He was very friendly and tolerant of my son who wanted to watch "the men working" everyday he was there. Bill took great care to ensure that the interruption of a whole wall being replaced in our home was kept to a minimum.

Bill was great. He was on time and did everything we asked of him. His price is a flat $45/hr., which isn't cheap, but Bill was great. In fact, I have had him do several jobs at an apartment building I own now too. I would highly recommend. He is personable, and I have been very satisfied.

BILL RESPONDED TO MY PHONE CALL VERY QUICKLY AND WAS VERY ACCOMMODATING TO MY SCHEDULE. I CALLED SEVERAL SERVICES, AND THE FIRST PERSON WHO CAME OUT WAS UNABLE TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM. BILL AND HIS ASSOCIATE WERE ON TIME, VERY POLITE AND, I THOUGHT, REASONABLY PRICED. HE CHARGES $45.00 PER HOUR.

Job 1: BILL SCHEDULED THE WORK, BUT THEN CALLED TO SAY HE COULDN'T DO IT. HE ASKED IF IT WAS OK TO SEND SOMEONE ELSE. THE OTHER MAN, PHIL GASSER, WAS EXCELLENT. HE DID A FINE JOB IN A PROFESSIONAL AND TIMELY MANNER. Job 2: Bill and his helper did excellent work and in a timely fashion. Later he did a few small jobs at my home and did not charge me anything for those.

BILL WAS VERY GOOD ABOUT KEEPING IN CONTACT WITH US CONCERNING HIS ARRIVAL EACH DAY. HE WORKS AT A VERY GOOD PACE AND YET IS DETAILED IN THE WORK THAT HE DOES. WE WERE ESPECIALLY PLEASED WITH THE WINDOW THAT HE INSTALLED AND THE TRIM WORK HE DID ON IT.

HE DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. THE COST WOULD HAVE BEEN HALF AS MUCH IF MY BUILDER WOULD HAVE ROUGHED IN FOR THE LIGHT POLE. MR. RANKIN HANDLED THE PROBLEM QUICKLY AND PROFESSIONALLY. I WISH I COULD SAY AS MUCH FOR THE BUILDER.

BILL WAS ON TIME, POLITE AND FRIENDLY AND A VERY FAST WORKER. HE IS REASONABLY PRICED, DID THE WORK IN 2 HOURS AND DID NOT CHARGE FOR TRAVEL TIME OR MILEAGE.

I CALLED BILL TO GET A PRICE ON REPLACING A FAUCET. HE FIT ME INTO HIS SCHEDULE BETWEEN RUNNING ERRANDS AND WAS THERE WITHIN 3 HOURS - THE SAME DAY I CALLED!
