I received his name from a friend and left a message for him to call me. The next day, he returned my call and said he would stop by on his lunch hour to look at my project. He came over as promised, inspected the wooden doors, and gave me a verbal estimate of the cost. He has been in the painting business all of his life and has extensive experience painting and repairing many types of surfaces and buildings including churches, commercial office buildings, homes, etc.
I was impressed with his enthusiasm and pleasantness. I asked if he could complete this project before August 1st and he said he could. I told him that I would like to hire him for this project and we shook hands to confirm this agreement.
About 2 weeks later, he came to scrape the old paint off the 3 doors. He asked me if I had any left over paint when I had done this work earlier about 6 years before and I said I did. Within a week, he returned to check the quality of my paint which I had stored in my basement and said it was very good as it had been re-sealed tightly. The priming work was done and allowed to dry for a few days. Then, he returned for the final painting using my paint and also cut and attached a new vinyl door edger that I purchased and requested be added to the bottom of the service door.
I am very satisfied with his work and would highly recommend him as a top quality painter.
