AJ HOME IMPROVEMENTS

Our roof is only about 10 years old. I saw some areas of concern. Tony Richards was highly recommended by a friend of mine. I contacted Tony, made an appointment for him to evaluated my roof. He was very professional, climbed the roof and could see the areas of concern. My roof was in great shape, but the ridge caps were deteriorating. He was very knowledgeable and explained things clearly. We communicated via email and cell phones. As arranged he and his crew arrived this morning. All was done professionally, promptly and cleaned up thoroughly. Very happy with the work.

Bid was OK, work started well. As arranged, a jobsite helper was provided and made some suggestions, Tony became irritated and was insulting. The work was OK in quality but the whole experience left a bad taste in our mouths. This was the 3rd or 4th time we'd used AJ and we won't again.

It started good. The pricing was competitive. Initially, they were cooperative and helpful. Roofing, siding, and aluminum work good with exceptions. They covered up pre-wiring for the landscape lighting wiring and it's now inaccessible. They put lighting fixtures on the patio at different heights. I do not want to invite the company back to fix anything because of company attitude. They did poor concrete work, and did not clean up afterwards. The patched in colors do not match. They left color concrete splatters on doors, the new siding and landscape walls. They left colorant dust on the new siding and soffit. When asked to clean up properly, he became belligerent and pevish. Again, I will not invite him back to fix problems because of attitude.

TONY IS A REASONABLE, HARDWORKING, SKILLED MAN, WHO DOESN'T LIKE TO GO ABOVE HIS ESTIMATE. HE'S THERE WHEN HE SAYS HE'LL BE THERE, ALTHOUGH HE'S BUSY, SO CALL EARLY. HE'S DONE A GREAT JOB FOR US IN A LOT OF DIFFERENT AREAS. NO COMPLAINTS.
