I found out later that what he called mold was actually harmless effervescence. Inspecting for mold is supposed to be one of this company's primary purposes, so it is amazing that they are not able to do it. I lost out on a great refinancing rate because of this ineptitude. They should not be in this line of work.
Description of Work: Tested for mold in my attic. Peter of P&J was aware that I needed this done to proceed with refinancing my mortgage. He was taken to a spot where an inspector had thought there was mold. It had been cleaned before P&J got there. Peter declared this spot to be clean and then shined a blacklight on a completely different spot (the chimney, which was nowhere near the spot I asked him to check). It glowed so he said it was mold and wrote that in his report.
