The Pump Connection

I was impressed by how quickly he was able to come to my house and finish the job. I would definitely hire again for any related work. The only issue is that I did not receive a bill for 2.5 months after the work was performed, and I had to contact him several times to receive the bill.

He supposedly inspected the well but it was dark outside and he never exited his vehicle. Instead he made tire marks on my lawn up to the well. He left a pipe leaking on the interior portion of the well and blamed it on the pipe sweating. He came back to inspect the leak and was very rude that we questioned his shoddy workmanship. Rather than fix the leak he suggested we put a fan on the pipes to dry up the water, insisting there was no leak when there actually was. Rather than deal with his condescending attitude I paid someone else to fix the leak.

Also on his bill he charged me for 4.5 hrs. of work when he was only in my house for 3 hours. This was a separate charge from the trip charge.

Sunday afternoon we came home to water in the basement and a found a pencil-sized leak at our well pressure tank float valve. We called several well service providers and plumbers who serviced well tanks, too, but only got two call backs. One well tank servicer said it would be at least $300 for the service call alone. Dean from the Pump Connection returned our call, but said it would be cheaper if he came out during regular hours. He explained what he thought might be happening, and told us what to do to stop the leak overnite. He said he'd be out after his first call Monday morning.
Dean came by on Monday morning, was prompt and very helpful. He explained how the system works and that a part failure in our well pressure tank float valve made it so the pressure tank float remained open. So, when the tank recharged, it released water instead of air into our basement! Dean replaced the part and things are up and running great! We will definitely call The Pump Connection if we have any other needs for service regarding our well system.

This is the third time we have hired Dean to repair a well-pump problem. Dean is always efficient and professional. In each instance, he quickly diagnosed the problem and explained his approach clearly. His work always exceeds our expectations. In one case, our well pump failed on a Saturday night, and Dean took our telephone call after hours. He arrived early the next morning and worked for nearly thirteen hours to repair the pump. We've rarely had such great experiences with vendors, and I would recommend Dean without qualification. We feel great knowing we can call him without hesitation if we again experience a problem.

After a Home Inspection to sell our cattle ranch it came to light that the functioning well had serious code issues. Dean was great to work with. He helped us understand that a $10,000. new well was not our best option and abandoing the pit ($3,500 estimate) would make all parties happy. His Inspection was honest, straight forward and clear.
While on the property for the Inspection, he also handled minor code items for the Septic System (cap a vent and chain lock a manhole cover) to help check off ourTo-Do List. He made time in his busy schedule to accomodate our closing date. He is great to work with.

He did a great job. He put great parts on it and it was very reasonable.

After hearing our well pump turning on and off after short intervals I joined Angies' List to find a Plumber. After reading the reviews I decided to go with Stoppleworth Plumbing. I called them and they explained that they did not work on wells and pumps but referred me to Pump Connection LLC. I called Pump Connection around noon and Randy took my call. I explained the problem and Randy said they could have someone stop out late afternoon. Dean (Technician) was right on time, quickly diagnosed the problem and went over the options for correcting. His recommendation was to replace the pressure tank, pressure switch and pressure gauge. I gave him the go ahead and he did the work in an expediant manner. Start to finish he was there for 1 hour. His work was neat and he took all old parts with him, saving me the headache of disposal. Pump Connection did a great job and I'll definitely use them again in the future.
