A leaking water heater, especially on a Friday, is not good. I thought about getting a new unit from a big box store and trying to install it myself, but it just didn't seem to be a good time to learn how to sweat copper pipes. My wife called around for plumber estimates, and I'll just say some were unbelievable. We knew what the problem was (need a new water heater), but Steve's Plumbing wouldn't even give an estimate without first making a $79 house call to tell us we'd need a new water heater. What the #?#$$?. When my wife got to Van Dreel Plumbing, they immediately gave us a reasonable installed price and said with the given situation they could be at our house with a new water heater in a half hour. And they were! Greg and Derek were very cordial and professional. It took them less than an hour of actual service time, including the time they took to install the new gas water heater, clean up the area, and remove the old water heater (which they also took care of). Oh, and I had a fairly large new cabinet in the back of my truck that I needed to get into the house. I asked Greg and Derek if they could just help me get the cabinet out of the truck, and they promptly carried it into the house. Nice, huh? These folks are professional, polite, and their price was very reasonable. What more could you possibly ask for?
He comes quickly and is very nice to work with, friendly and approachable. When, after the instal of the garbage disposal, I flicked the wrong switch and thought it didn't work, he came within 15 minutes, showed me the correct switch, was kind about my idiot mistake, and did not charge me for the visit.
Van Dreel has also helped with minor plumbing at my home in Stevens Point, and again came promptly and was very reasonable. They are the best.
