I hired Mr Linden to replace my front door and side light as well as install a storm door. This work began in early May and as of today has NOT been completed to my satisfaction. I have paid over $800 in labor (not including materials) for a front door that I am not happy with. We are selling our home and I want it fixed, and I recently advised Mr Linden of this and I have received 2 text messages in the last month that he is in Iowa for work and has been there for the last month. Yet Mr Linden is posting his ads to a website as recently as August 29th. He says he will call me to finish up and I get no call, just excuses. One day he no showed and didn't call me, why? Because his brother was in jail. What does that have to do with my front door and your poor communication? As of today my door is in fact installed as is the storm door. The storm door does not close correctly, the exterior and trim painting is not complete, and he split the wood trim (claimed he didn't notice, how can you not notice when you split a thin piece of wood?), the upper trim is also reattached in an crooked direction which is causing the connecting piece of trim on the right side to pop out of place and let bugs and spiders inside. I trusted Mr Linden and his word. I feel that I got taken advantage of and stolen from. I do not know why he doesn't want to fix the things that I want fixed; he told me numerous times that he wants me to be satisfied with his work. He underestimated my attention to detail and most likely got tired of me calling him back a day or so after he was at my home complaining of something not done right or to my satisfaction. I'm frustrated, annoyed and angry that I have to now find a reputable and competent handyman to fix Mr. Linden's shotty work.
