Gary Ransom Concrete

Gary was recommended to me as a good concrete guy. His price was lower than another bid that I got and he bragged about how good he was at decorative concrete. He's totally unprofessional. In the beginning, Gary used every weather excuse to not get started, but really he was just trying to tailor the job to what was best for his schedule. He poured the patio first, and then did the driveway second, so the colors do not match. He tried to explain that it looked better this way- it did not. He woke neighbors up at 6AM when he would sporadically show up. No respect for any schedule but his own. He left a huge gap at the end of the driveway, which he filled with plain unmatched concrete. He left his truck at the job without asking. I didn't know that the truck was there to cover a part of the job he didn't complete. He complained about having to finish the job, and when he did, he used plain concrete which looked terrible next to all of the colored concrete. it was very difficult to get him to come over and fix it, and when he did, low and behold we have a 3rd color and texture. A few weeks after the job was finished, it was clear that he didn't clean the driveway before he put sealer on it, so the driveway always looks dirty. The sealer also started to oxidize and turn white. Gary will not answer his phone and will not fix his bad work. I would NEVER hire Gary again.
