Chimney Sweeping
I was getting smoke in the house when I added wood. I called them and scheduled for Feb 14. They came and I explained I had not been burning a very hot fire and I feared I had a massive buildup of creosote. Which they found I did. They cleaned from the inside what they could and he went to the roof and swept from the top down. It seems my chimney has more of a kink in it than normal because of the type of insert I have installed. After cleaning from top and bottom they found I still had a blockage. They then took the front plant off and found a separate access to the flue where the blockage was found. They cleaned it out and I was able to build my fire. They advised I use Anti Creo Soot to remove the remaining buildup. They spent two hours here and I was very satisfied with their work and felt they earned their $200 fee. Although if they were here for only 20 mins I would have thought the price was high.
