WELL DRILLING, DIAGNOSIS & REPAIR OF ANY WELL OR PUMP PROBLEM. ALSO PROVIDE COMPLETE INSTALLATIONS AND/OR ABANDONMENTS OF WATER WELL AND PUMPING SYSTEMS.
I want to start with the fact that I was 3 months pregnant and suffering from morning sickness at the time the situation occurred. Our original well had collapsed and our water would shut off after two showers or a load or two of laundry. We called back the company that had originally drilled our well for our new construction, Krizan. They came out and agreed to redrill at the same price per foot as was charged for the original well, which seemed like a more than fair agreement. They gave us an estimate of 2 -3 days to complete the work. This is when the trouble started. They came out and put the truck in our yard (tearing up the lawn a great deal) and began drilling. Then they left. The whole process took 10 days to complete, and they were on the job less than three. My husband was at home at the time, so there was no issue of someone not being here to provide access; they just didn't show up and came up with every excuse under the sun. Again, I had morning sickness, and while the truck was connected to drill we had no water at all!! We ended up connecting our outside hose spigot to our neighbor's to draw water from them so we could use the toilets. The water draw made a really loud noise in the neighbor's house, so we did this as little as possible. We would drive to my parent's house in Pleasant Prairie to shower and do laundry. For the last three days before work was completed we ended up staying in a hotel in Antioch, as my morning sickness was worse (probably from stress) and running between the toilets in the house, flushing, turning on the neighbor's water and doing it all again was wearing on us. We had made Krizan aware of our situation and they did not seem to care at all. It certainly didn't make them try to speed up. I felt the biggest issue was that they hooked up the truck when they were unable to perform the work. If they had told us they couldn't start for a week we could have gotten by with the water the way it was until then. Once they hooked up the truck we were totally out of luck and put in a very bad position.
