FALSTAD CONSTRUCTION

Description of Work: We hired Falstad construction (Andy & his son Eric) to do some remodeling after our house fire. We told them specifically To fix the bathroom first... They decided to work on the rest of our house instead. We needed the sheet rocking finished in the bathroom & kitchen, OSB hung on the living room walls, a chimney taken down(they left hunks of bricks everywhere in our yard, and they didn't listen to where we told them to put them) and a new pipe to run to vent our water heater and furnace. They worked 5 days a week for nearly a month... (Shouldn't have taken more than 2 weeks) needless to say we put stop payment on the last check due to the quality of their work and time it took.I wasn't home they day they began working, when I got home every inch of our house was covered with dirt and dust. They had no respect in covering the clothes in the bathroom or the food or anything! If I owned a business like this I would treat people's things as I would want mine treated, with respect!! They screwed up a wall in the bathroom and tried fixing it by putting shims under the bathtub to make it look straight... Anyone knows you can't level a tub or it won't drain!! So now we have had to hire someone else to come finish the sheet rocking and another contractor to finish the rest of the house. When he came to get the rest of his tools and such we showed him everything they messed up and his response was that he had worked in million dollar mansions.... I don't believe that for his quality of work! After we hired them we found out he is not licensed, yet he is insured.... Something doesn't add up! Also the business cards say Eric Falstad yet Andy did the work and got paid more by the hour.... Another thing that doesn't add up! I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone for anything, they work very very slow and don't have good work quality when it comes down to the finished product.
