I had never had a Mani-Pedi in my life. My friend "kidnapped" me, and we went to Tomah Nails and Spa. I couldn't have been more surprised! First i had my nails done, as did she. My hands were treated so well. cleaned several times before applying gel nail polish. Hand and arm massage with the most divinely scented Mango Raspberry lotion. Then a very warm hot towel for wrapping around my hands. Final cleaning of nails, and we were off! I had trouble selecting a polish, there were so many options. All cuticles were pushed back with a fresh stick. The hangnails were trimmed cleaned with a clipper that was soaked in solution. I had chosen the gel polish, to see if it really did last longer. I had 2 coats of Candy Apple Red applied, along with a top coat. Each time a fresh layer applied, I put my fingers in an ultra-violet device. I was told that this hardens them and dries them more quickly. I didn't have any false tips or nails placed, but my girlfriend did, and she was completely satisfied with her choice. Next came the pedicure. Let me say, I have never been so pampered! They have massage chairs for you to sit in, and a warm water soak while your feet soak. It was clean fresh water, I observed it being drained and cleaned with cleaning solution and rinsed after i was done. First came a foot and up to mid-calf massage. Then more soaking. Then, one at a time, the nails were clipped and cleaned, and polish applied. I had chosen mid-blue with a top coat of clear with holographic sparkles. That was not a gel polish. It didn't take long before my toes looked just beautiful! I hated to get out of that chair! Then because I had worn flip-flops, I could put those on, and walk over to a table that had the ultra-violet light underneath it. My friend is diabetic, and she let the nail professional know. She was so good with her. My friend had worn shoes, so she was provided with disposable flip-flops, and came over by me. We chatted and raved about the service we had received. After some little time, we had paid, and our toenails were judged.done.We walked out totally relaxed, and feeling like a million bucks! We each took pictures of of all our nails!The best part is,to this time, 7/25, I have not had a single chip. Not one. I even gardened without my gloves as I had forgotten them, and still no chips! We were both very pleased with the service and the price.I recommend it to everyone I know.
