 + -1 moreScott and his brother John did a masterful job in the installation of the new flooring! When they say "dust free" sanding, they truly meant it. Hardly any cleanup was needed after the job was completed. The work required to match the new oak flooring with the exisiting adjacent tile flooring was phenomenal! The matching curves and leveling were truly works of art!
Description of Work: Scott graciously scheduled an initial weekend visit for us to preview the living room where we planned to install new 3 1/4" red oak flooring. The existing carpet, tack strips and press board subfloor had to be removed, new 1/2" plywood had to be installed prior to the installation of the oak flooring. Scott suggested #2 common oak flooring, less expensive than traditional oak and more attractive due to the presence of more character marks. Scott brought several samples which we were able to keep several days to view in all types of lighting situations. We asked if we could do some "sweat equity" work ourselves including the removal of the existing carpeting and subflooring. No problem! The work was to be completed in a weekender's cabin and Scott made extraordinary efforts to accomodate our schedule.
