KEVIN'S DRYWALL SERVICE LLC

This was a big project in an old farmhouse that we are remodeling--we tore down to the original studs--Kevin's Drywall was one of seven vendors that I contacted to get quotes for the project. Two didn't bother calling back, 2 came out and said they didn't want the job because it was too big, one was more expensive and didn't provide as many service and the other provided the same cost and services, but the owner was not very responsive or thorough. Kevin came out the following day after I called him and met with our remodeler to go over everything-he asked good questions, took measurements right away and then EMAILED me a couple of quotes (based upon options we had requested) before the week was out! I was very impressed. He was ALWAYS extremely responsive via email or cell phone to my questions and requests for revisions to the quotes, and he was very patient as we struggled through delay after delay (based upon new problems that kept cropping up) and had to keep pushing back our start date for the project. Once WE finally got a date ironed out and let Kevin know, he put us on the schedule and had his drywall foreman come out to look everything over, had the materials delivered and called to let me know when the subs would be there to put up the drywall. It went incredibly fast! There were some mistakes with some of the work (one of the wires was cut in an outlet, a lot of the boxes were covered up with compound, some of the boards were not secured at the bottom and some of the corner pieces were forgotten and we had to have them come back) BUT that is bound to happen when they are going as fast as they did--Overall, the work was good to very good and if there was a problem, I just called Kevin and he took care of it--it was very reassuring! Whatever materials they didn't need, Kevin had the company come and pick up and then got us a refund. Kevin also was very helpful as we worked through some glitches with our primer and paints (we wanted to use No-VOC paints and they required a specific primer). We like the orange peel texture a lot and thought they did a good job overall. Kevin came back to check on everything and is going to follow up with us as we finish up the woodwork, bathroom and cabinets so that he can do touch-ups, etc...I would HIGHLY recommend this service provider to anyone looking to get quality drywall throughout the house at a competitive price. If we have other drywall needs, we will use them again in the future!
