Custom Couture for the Home

Kate is very personable and professional. The finished work is lovely. She completed the project on schedule, delivered and installed the finished curtains. They look fabulous!

Kate was able to take the existing drapes and make some modifications. She also recommended where I should shop for the new hardware and the best placement. These drapes are for a very large, arched set of windows and is the first thing you see when you walk in my front door. The result is stunning! What Kate was able to do made a dramatic difference in the look and feel of my home. The room looks 20 years younger.

Kate had great ideas for the design and knew the look I was going for. Her attention to detail meant the custom valence looks perfect (e.g. the repeat pattern is matched spot on). She was prompt, accomodated my need for a relatively quick turnaround, and the price was great. I would most definately recommend Kate. In fact, I'm working with her again to upholster an entryway bench.

I contacted Kate about making some drapes for a bedroom from some fabric I had found online. I sent her the website for the fabric I wanted and she came out to the house to discuss options and to measure.  I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted as far as length and width. Kate showed me what could be done, and showed me samples of lining fabrics so I could choose how heavy of a lining I wanted. She had even researched rods online for me based on the look I told her I was going for.

I received a quote within a day or two and was more than happy with the price. Kate figured how much fabric I would need for the project based on the pattern repeat and I ordered it and had it shipped straight to her.  I even bought the rod she had found online. I sent a deposit and she put me on her schedule. The drapes were finished when she told me they would be, and we set up a date for her to deliver them when I could have someone here to hang the rod so that she could be sure they were hung perfectly.

I am so pleased with the final result. She matched the pattern in the fabric perfectly and they look great. There were many emails back and forth and everything was done very professionally. Kate is great to work with and if I ever have another drapery project, I will contact her in a heartbeat! I got another business card from her to pass on to a friend who is looking to have curtains made. I can't stress enough how great I think Kate is!

I went right to Angie's list when we decided to redo a room in our home and needed to have a window treatment made. We wanted a certain style because the window is fairly large and we needed it to lay flat against the window. I found and quot;Custom Couture for Your Homeand quot; in our area. Kate (the owner) was very professional and easy to work with. She made great suggestions and listened to what my thoughts were as well. The price was very reasonable as compared to a retail blind store we called first.

We moved into our house almost 7 years ago and had never put up any window treatments in our bedroom. I am very bad at choosing and coordinating things so when I heard Kate did window treatments, I asked her to help me. She came to my house for a consult and helped me choose the type of curtains as well as the curtain rods She had excellent ideas and recommendations that I would never have thought of if it wasn't for her suggestion. In addition, she also shopped for fabric for me and brought the swatches to my house for my approval. She looked for the best deal and most of the fabric and hardware was on sale.
