AQUA-FUN POOLS INC

We hired Aqua-Fun Pools to install the new hot tub we purchased. We confirmed with them the move date that worked for our schedule three weeks out, one week out, and 24 hours in advance. During each phone call, site visit, and email they agreed they would complete the installation as discussed on the date desired. Two hours after the truck delivered the hot tub to our driver way the General Manager Jim decided he was no longer interested in doing the installation on any date leaving us with a brand new hot tub sitting in the center of our driveway. After repeated request for him to reconsider he advise we call someone else. Aqua-Fun Pools is ran by unethical liars who leave you high and dry. Spend your money anywhere else!

Bought a VITA hot tub from these people 4 yrs ago, price was right 5500.00. Service ? None ! Had a LEAK within the first winter of the tub purchase , was told two weeks out for service, can't do that in the winter, Will freeze out the tub. Found leak myself, and fixed it after the service call. Had to replace 6 jets, they just crumbled to pcs. after 2 years. They told me that I used to much chemicals, Wrong I have a pool for 20 yrs, always stay on the light side. Took 2 months to get new ones, they came wrong, the new ones were not even the right part number??? Still waiting. I was told that Vida is under new ownership, Sorry new owners still working out the bugs. Going on 3 months, bugs ? I work in the HVAC field , couldn't even think of this happening in my line of work.

I called the service manager, Mike, to discuss the discrepancies with their estimate and the cost of their estimate vs the three other companies that I had inspect the hot tub. He refused to send out his technician, Rick, for a free evaluation and refused to refund my payment for their inital service call because I did not pay them to perform the $3000+ service. Rick is their only technician and Mike continually said "he has 26 years experience" and did not explain to me why three other companies disagreed. We bought the hot tub from Aqua Spa and have had them do regular service work on it before, but never have I experienced the unethical and poor customer service as I did from Rick and Mike. We are investigating taking this company to small claims court due to the documentation and support from other companies.

I've been using them for 2 years and they continue to do a good job.

They said we would get the spa in 4 weeks and it took 8 weeks. Some of the delay may have been because of the hurricanes.

WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THE FINAL PROJECT. JIM (OWNER) TOOK CARE TO DRAW UP A DESIGN AND MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS ACCORDING TO OUR NEEDS. THE CREW USED WERE VERY RESPONSIBLE AND DID EXCELLENT WORK. IT IS , HOWEVER, DIFFICULT TO GET A HOLD OF JIM DURING THE PROJECT AND RESPONSIVENESS TO PHONE CALLS IS SLOW.

I MOVED TO THIS HOUSE IN SEPT. AND HIRED AQUA-FUN TO DO WORK ON MY HOT TUB SEVERAL TIMES. THEY DID A GREAT JOB. THEN IN FEBRUARY I GOT ON THEIR LIST TO RESTORE MY POOL. IT TOOK 4 MONTHS TO GET SOMEONE OUT HERE TO EVEN LOOK AT THE POOL AND THEY HANDED THE JOB OFF TO THE OWNER AS HE IS THE INGROUND POOL EXPERT. THIS IS WHERE THE REAL NIGHTMARE STARTED. THE OWNER WOULD NOT RETURN CALLS. IT TOOK 4 APPOINTMENTS TO ACTUALLY GET HIM OUT HERE TO LOOK AT THE POOL. WE MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO PICK OUT A LINER WITH HIM AT THE STORE, A TIME HE SET, AND WHEN WE GOT THERE HE WAS NOT THERE. NOW MONTHS LATER THE POOL MAY BE DONE IN A WEEK. SO FROM FEBRUARY WHEN I CALLED TO GET ON THEIR SCHEDULE UNTIL THE END OF AUGUST TO DO THE JOB, WITH LITTLE OR NO CONTACT FROM THE COMPANY OWNER I FEEL VERY FRUSTRATED. IF YOU NEED SERVICE FOR A HOT TUB THE COMPANY IS VERY GOOD. IF YOU NEED A NEW POOL OR MAJOR POOL WORK DONE, FIND ANOTHER COMPANY.

I ASKED MANY QUESTIONS AND THE SERVICEMAN WAS MORE THAN KIND WITH HIS RESPONSES. THEY HAD TO MAKE TWO VISITS. THE FIRST VISIT THEY REMOVED THE WATER FROM ON TOP OF THE COVER AND IT TOOK A LOT LONGER THAN THEY EXPECTED. THE SECOND VISIT WAS FOR THE LEAK REPAIR AND CLEAN UP. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO COMPARE TO OTHER COSTS. THE OPENING SEEMED COMPETITIVE, BUT THE OTHER WORK WAS EXPENSIVE.

SALESMAN (KEN E.) WAS KNOWLEDGEABLE, LOW-PRESSURE, AND RESPONSIVE. DELIVERY ARRANGEMENTS (CARLA) WERE MADE EFFICIENTLY AND VERY COURTEOUSLY. HOT TUB DELIVERY THEN LATER SET-UP WENT MUCH SMOOTHER THAN FEARED -- SIDNEY WAS EXCEPTIONALLY THOROUGH, RESPONSIVE, INFORMATIVE, AND EASY TO WORK WITH. PRODUCT ITSELF IS EXPENSIVE BUT PRICE SEEMED FAIR.
