The staff is excellent. They are always there when we call if we have a question, they always answer the question for us. We have a cat that has seizures and they weren't sure what was going on so they referred us to another place to have some testing done.. Just overall, we just like them.

There wasn't any wait time. We went in as soon as we got there. The vet interacts very good. I keep going back because I like the people there, the vet. It's just a place that takes good care of our animals. I most definitely will keep going back.

They are excellent. I had a sick dog and picked up medication for two cats and the dog. There was wait time. We were seen as soon as we got there. The vet interacted with my dog very good. I keep going back because I like the people there. It is a place that takes good care of my animals. I would most definitely keep going back.

Prairie Veterinary Associates is fantastic! We've been going for years with our French Bulldog, and since he is our dog-child, we are pretty fussy about the care he receives. Our little guy gets a yearly physical exam, fecal test, and vaccines. On our bill, the physical exam was $43, heartworm test $39, fecal test $19, Lepto Vaccine $16, Lyme Vaccine $33, Bordetella $18.50. The total bill is very reasonable for an annual cost.

We love that they are open until 6pm every day and that they have Saturday hours until noon; it's very convenient so that both my wife and I can attend his appointments. We usually schedule a month in advance, but they have been able to fit our dog in when he's had acute issues like diarrhea or allergic reaction.

Vet Tech Steve is outstanding. He's caring and informative, and really listens to our concerns - even when we're being helicopter dog parents. We love Dr. Amber Bruhn, who joined the practice in early 2015. She is wonderful with our dog and brings a high level of expertise to the practice.

We could recommend Prairie Veterinary Associates to anyone, especially if you're on the East Side or Sun Prairie. Another great thing is that they are willing to sign off on regular prescriptions through online services like 800petmeds or CaliforniaPetPharmacy. It makes it very easy to refill regular medicine like Trifexis or Heartguard.

I've read older reviews and strongly disagree -- my experience over the last six years has been extremely positive.

At this visit, Steve, the vet tech took plenty of time to revisit my cat's history and to listen to all of my questions and concerns.  He also was very gentle with my cat, who was quite stressed at having to go to the vet.

Dr. Sandy Wedig has always been a pleasure to work with -- she's friendly, compassionate, and professional, quick to follow up, and never has recommended services that aren't necessary or warranted nor does she push any products (food, supplements, flea medicine) that they sell.  After the visit yesterday, she personally called me this morning to follow up on some medication for my cat -- who gets a call from the doctor him/herself anymore?

I have had to get prescription refills in the past, and the staff at the clinic are always so helpful and prompt.

Yes, vet visits are expensive.  But I feel fortunate that my entire bill was $250 and it's (hopefully) a once-yearly visit.  "Pet parents" can feel very comfortable about seeing Dr. Sandy and her staff -- I would not think of going anywhere else, even if it were cheaper to do so, as they know my senior cat and his needs.

We have been going to Prairie Vet Associates for about 7 years now. Since they have moved into their new building (approx 3-4 years ago) they have gotten very expensive (visits now cost $58). The newer vets seems to push extra services pretty hard, even when you've explained that you're not interested. They want my dog to get his teeth cleaned almost yearly (we did get them cleaned less than 2 years ago at a cost of around $300), twice yearly visits, x-rays, etc. They seem to recommend services without regard to cost to the owners and without explaining the costs upfront without the owner asking. They almost make you feel guilty if you don't order the extra services. The original vet - Dr. Sandra - is less like this and she was the one we originally went to. It's too bad they've gotten this way because we really liked them previously.

I'm new to the Sun Prairie area and was behind on my services for my two cats. This vet office was recommended by my prior vet, especially for their teeth-cleaning expertise, which both cats needed. The location is very convenient -- just off Hwys C and 19, and they were very flexible with appointment times. The techs are very caring and empathetic. Both Dr. Brian and Dr. Sandy were very knowledgeable and took plenty of time to explain; Dr. Sandy has and especially good "bedside manner." Both vets are very up-to-date on veterinary practices, including blood tests, pain management, vaccines, etc., for which I was most certainly looking. The costs were a bit higher than at my last vet, but I'm willing to pay that for excellent care. Over the course of several weeks, I went in five times with both cats, which was costly but necessary to do. Each time, staff has been helpful and professional. This is a great place to bring your pets if you consider them your "children" or valued family members, as well as if you consider them "just pets."

I think they are very thorough and very good at what they do. They even performed tests that my old veterinarian never even suggested. I didn't even have to wait when I got there. I also feel that their prices are very competitive. I feel they knew exactly what they were doing.
