Tim was great. He explained everything he did and how to care better for our appliance, which products to use for washing and how to clean the dishwasher. He recommended products that would not leave residue all over the machine and instructed us on how to remove remaining residue without replacing those parts. He only replaced what needed replacement. I liked it that the phone scheduler was able to order the part I needed before the service call so it could all be done in one visit. Tim even took a quick look at a washing machine problem and recommended a home remedy. The replacement dispenser part was overpriced at $100 and $89 for the service call, did not include the $45 time charge so that's a shame. It's like it's $89 just to pull up at the house..... but that's the way it seems to go with all large appliance repair so I don't blame Main Appliance

Excellent service. 1st contacted for recall of Bosch part. 2nd time for repair of water drain. Both times service provided by Tim. He is excellent. Always on time or early, knows his work and is good explaining to others. We have also had Josh who worked on our Electrolux gas stove. Electrolux gave us the complete run-around. Their customer service is awful. Josh came on a weekend and he was excellent. Highly recommend this group for appliance repairs.

I have never had such an awful experience with an appliance repair company as I did with Main appliance. I had a washer covered under an extended warranty. It took a month to get the intiial parts to repair the washer. Once they finally came to fix it, the washer broke down again within 2 days. Then, we had to wait for Main appliance to verify the machine was beyond repair and authorize a credit for a new washer. This took several weeks as well. All in all, we did not have a washer from February until the beginning of May!! The warranty company did what they could to get Main appliance to do their job. Will never use this company again.

Josh, the technician, arrived about when promised. The work was performed quickly and neatly. He was obviously experienced with the problem we had and brought all the correct parts for the repair. Approximate time for repair, less than half an hour.

Two service calls, initial diagnosis fuse, returned 9 days & later replaced fuse. The new fuse immediately blew. New diagnosis "board" ($800). I asked if was the "generator board?" He said yeah. I know absolutely nothing electronically, "generator" just came to mind, as he was looking at the engineering diagrams. My thought, he really can't read them. We are buying a new cooktop.

I called Main Appliances to repair my dishwasher that had stopped working. When I called, I was not necessarily very clear, however the person on the phone took the time to understand what the issue was so that they come prepared to repair my dishwasher in the first trip. Jonathan, the technician, was punctual and very patient. He was very knowledgeable and did not hesitate to call the appliance service line and his colleagues to discuss solutions. He explained to me what he issue was and showed me what he was going to do to fix the problem. While doing the work, a lot of water spilled on the floor. Jonathan carefully cleaned-up and made sure that everything was clear after he was done with the repair. I thought that the price was reasonable given the time that he had spent. I will definitely contact Main Appliance repair again and strongly recommend their service!

It started out totally fine. I was told on the phone that they generally have the parts necessary to fix the machine on the first visit. I paid $99 to the service tech to press some buttons on my machine and talk to someone on the phone about the possible meaning of the "LE" error message. I explained to the tech the problem and backstory, how over the last year or so, the machine had increasingly given me different error messages about loads being overweight when the machine was barely half-full. He decided the motor rotor and stator needed to be replaced for approx $400, and that they needed to order the parts, and I told him I would call the company when I decided whether I would get it fixed or buy a new machine. Ok, fine. Seems normal. I called a few hours later to set up my appointment. We had some back and forth about whether LG was responsible for paying for the parts (there's a 10-yr warranty on the motor stamped on the washer!). I called LG twice, called the Main Appliance twice. LG was terrible, Main Appliance was super helpful and patient, and the owner explained to me that LG has terrible customer service and they had basically lied to me and to check the fine print. He was right, I was grateful. I called back to make the appointment to have them fix my washer. BUT THEN, nobody showed up to my appointment. I waited 3 hours in the middle of the day, and called when they were 30min past the window and was told that my job had been marked "completed". But also that they hadn't gotten the parts in yet, so they weren't sure how I even got an appointment. I was told that they would let me know as soon as the parts came in, and that every effort would be made to expedite the service. 5 days later, I called back to see what was going on (because meanwhile, it's been 18 days without a washing machine!), and was told that my notes were really confusing and that the owner was going to call me back the next day around 11. Around 2pm, after I did not receive a call from the owner, I called back to see what was going on. I was put on hold for 5 min or so while they looked through my records and was told that the parts had not been ordered. OMG it has been three weeks since I made the first appointment with this company. I am ******! I tell them I will just have my husband do it, since I don't trust that they will follow through. So, we order the $300 in parts/shipping from Sears, my husband turns the machine over and discovers that the motor rotor bolt is loose. That's it. That's the problem. Do service folk no longer know how to give a machine a once-over? I don't know if I'm more upset that they didn't figure out that was the problem, or that they gave me the run-around for 3 weeks. Either way, I've never been so disappointed.

Main Appliance Repair responded to the urgent need to have my oven element replaced before our Thanksgiving dinner with a large family gathering. They determined that the control board was defective and worked diligently to have my oven in working order for the family gathering.

. The repairman arrived on time but was accompanied by another employee that he was training. I feared that the teaching process would add to the time to do the repair. Once they came inside it took the repairman a few minutes to get his iPad loaded with the my appliances repair guide, once they had this the trainee set about working. He basically knew what he needed to do and when he wasn't sure he asked and followed the repairman's directions. They tried a few things but then quickly told me that I needed to replace the ice maker. They had the part with them and switched it out in just a few min. They said that the ice maker wouldn't drop ice cubes for a Couple of hours and that I should watch for them. I was given a total cost and payed. before they left they said that if I didn't have ice by tomorrow they would need to return and replace the fridge's main controll board. A part that was equally as expensive as the ice maker and that would take time to order. Overall I was pleased with their service. They were prompt, knowledgable and friendly. Additionally when I voiced a concern about paying another costly service call fee if a return trip was needed to complete the repair. I was told that if this this happened I would not be charged the service call fee again.

When I called, the woman who answered the phone was very helpful in setting up the appointment.  The scheduling was able to be set up very quickly and worked with my schedule.  The cost and parts were comparable to my estimated budget.  The service person showed up well within the window of time given and was very quick to repair the part.  Overall I was very happy with service.

This was an Angies list special price for 1  hour labor.  Our 10 year old cloths washer was leaking from the bottom during the wash cycle.  After rescheduling due to staffing issues, Rick came and we set the washer through its paces.  Naturally, it wouldn't leak in front of Rick despite watching for about 40 minutes and restarting the offending cycle a few times.  However, as the top machine cover was off, Rick discussed the mechanics of the washer and what to look for should it happen again.  He also suggested other causes such as detergent overfill and clogged filters.  I'm impressed with office staff  on how they handled the appointment/ reschedule  and to their tech Rick who took the time to explain machine operating concepts and offered some amusing stories while we waited for the water stream that never came.

I called Main Appliance because my ice maker stopped dispensing ice, was making a terrible racket and getting caught up.
Josh came about ten days later and said a piece of plastic was broken off and happens often in LP French door refrigerators.   He was pleasant and efficient. Josh also replaced the water filter for me and showed me how to do it next time.
Not an inexpensive repair; most of the cost was due to a new ice maker and water filter.
I would definitely call them again,
