HENSEN FINE CABINETRY

Once the counter top decision was made we made our deposit and approximately 4 weeks later our new cabinets were installed. Martha coordinated with Viking Sink to come out and perform the template measurement. Viking Sink was the installer.
She called us after two weeks when she was notified by Cambria that delivery would be 4 weeks not 3 as originally quoted. The delay was not Hensen's fault. The number of orders Cambria received was significant pushing out all deliveries by 1 week.
Martha followed up with Viking and confirmed delivery and installation. Exactly 4 weeks after the template dimensional work was completed the installers were here to install the Cambria counter top. We had a 3 hour window for the installation and after two hours we received a phone call indicating they were running late and they provide a new 30 minute window which they met.
The finished product is outstanding. Martha does an excellent job in understanding our requirements, quoting, and follow-up.
We both strongly recommend Hensen's for cabinets and counter tops.

While looking at Quartz counter top at Hensen's for our Master bathroom, Jeff, the owner, suggested we look at the Granite Program special from AMC for the guest bathroom. The price per square foot was good but you never know how that correlates to the final price since they add for sink and faucet cutout and dimension/template cost. The quoted cost was good so we made the decision to order from Hensen's.
The final price was lowered than any of the Remnant prices so we selected Juparana Gold Granite with a Waterfall edge profile with a 4and quot; backslash which would extend above the cultured Marble back splash I removed myself. There was minor wall damage from the adhesive but I did not have to repair since the new back splash would be taller..
Martha coordinated the install. The Installers from AMC arrived on-time. I will leave a separate review of our experience with AMC Countertops.
Martha also followed up after the installation to see if we were happy with the installation.
This is our third experience with Hensen's. Last year they were involved in our kitchen remodel and provide custom made cabinets and ordered the Cambria Quartz counter tops. We also had them quote for the new cabinets in our master bathroom but chose another supplier based upon price. We went back to them for the Granite counter top for the guest bathroom and they are currently working on the coordination of the Quartz counter top for the Master Bathroom.
They did a great job in providing guidance on this guest bathroom project to replace the counter top. They have acess to Granite and Quartz suppliers/converters. They provide excellent customer service. We highly recommend Hensen Fine Cabinetry.

We went to three companies Hensen Fine Cabinetry was not the lowest but their knowledge, experience, and quality stood out above the others. The custom cabinets are outstanding and well built. The crown molding was better than expected. The dovetail construction is superior to anything we saw at this years Parade of Homes (3 sites). The Cherry finish is beautiful with lots of depth to the finish.
Excellent communication and patient with clients. Listens to requirement and develops plans of new kitchen. Very repsonsive on turning around concept drawings. Very friendly staff: Jennifer and Martha in the office are excellent. Their lead installer Rupert, is outstanding. Attention to detail, pride in his work, is outstanding. Same goes for Louie. Both did an outstanding job installing our cabinets and troubleshooting two intersecting walls that were curved.
Jeff Hensen, owner, does a great job in understanding our requirements and converting that to a viable layout. He constantly talks about and quot;QUALITYand quot; and when you see their cabinets you see the quality. He did a great job explaining frame vs frameless construction, solid wood, plywood, and other construction styles. Remodeling a kitchen is a big project and he walked us through each of the steps and decision points.
They lost one week from the date the contract was signed until installation. Not bad for a medium size kitchen. That extra time allowed me to manage the plumber, electrician, drywall and painter, and floor repair man. We did a lot of lighting upgrades and it took time so the lost time worked out for us. We are extremely happy with the cabinets and the display cabinet. The final product was better than anticipated.
Hensen's is a local family owned business. We highly recommend them for kitchen, bathroom, and cabinet construction. Excellent show room with different styles so you can better understand what your getting. Picking door and draw styles is so much easier when you have cabinet to pick from. Highly recommended.

the surprising aspect was that the cost of the project was below some competitors estimates for inferior proposals (this was unexpected)

We decided to go with Hensen based on the quality of work we saw on their website and reasonable price based on the other quote we received. The design process went smoothly and the person we worked with was very accommodating. Before building anything, Hensen provided us with a drawing of the bench so that we were in agreement of what we wanted and have the opportunity to make some revisions. Construction took slightly longer than originally stated and we had some slow response time when inquiring on progress. The installers did a great job of installing the bench and fitting to the walls. We were impressed with the quality of the work. However, after installation we realized a design modification we made to the decorative paneling was not incorporated into the actual bench, but the it still looked great and we didn't bother to bring it up with Hensen. Overall, it was a good experience and we would use them again based on their quality, price and professionalism.

They are the best in madison area, helped pickout materials and design to be most up to date and classic design for longevity, great service and price and delivered on time with the most professional employees, top quality craftsmanship and customer is treated like royalty. We could not be more pleased with outcome. Surprisingly their price was very competive with other bidders which do not have a reputation so may expect lower price... We also had new original installation of our kitchen and baths 20 yrs ago when we built hse and they have held up beautifully. They even came out and adjusted cabinet doors for free when we met them for ideas on upgrade. Rate them as the best (would pay more if they had a higher bid than an less reputable cabinet maker)

There was a problem with this job, they had over complicated a significant delay in getting the cabinets finished. Now, the quality of work was great, just a little delay. The people were very nice and wonderful to deal with. Jeff was the CEO and that is who we mostly dealt with. I guess there was nothing they could do about the delay. Fortunately, we had sort of an addition so we were able to survive. They worked with another company on other projects and did great.
