A-1 Landscaping

The pattern of the bricks were beautifully arranged and the stone stairs coming from our patio doors are absolutely stunning. A-1 landscaping took the time to remove over two feet of dirt and replace it with gravel and sand to create a solid, lasting foundation. The landscapers were always professional, friendly, and cleaned up after each workday. The entire project only took three days and all of the grass which was worn from the work was replaced with high quality seed which is already growing wonderfully! This is the first project I have had done by A-1 landscaping at my home, but I would welcome them back in a heartbeat.

We had A-1 do the fine grade and grass seed for our 1/2 acre lot. The irrigation system that they set up was complete garbage. They used cheap sprinklers; we ended up having to purchase replacements because their sprinklers either broke or constantly malfunctioned. They also did not provide adequate sprinkler coverage for watering the yard. The lard is littered with crabgrass/weeds and numerous bare patches throughout. We put ample water through the sprinklers, so that was not an issue. We made attempts with Mark to have things remedied, but at the end of the this experience they did not respond to our concerns or make things right. We are extremely disappointed and would not recommend them.

They waiting a week to call me back and left a voice message. I called back and left a detailed message of what I was interested in. Mark called back and said that "We can't help you." I started to ask what he meant and he hung up on me. I called back and he fixed his number so it kept ringing and I couldn't even leave a voice message. This is a "Christian" company"? Don't make me laugh. There are too many other landscapers out there to put up with this total lack of professionalism.

After 5 years all walls are leaning. Now I am faced with a repair bill of more than $15,000. A-1 refused to fix their work and clearly did not install the walls properly in the first place. I have had 4 other contractors look at the walls to give me estimates. Every one has said that they have had to go back and fix retaining walls that A-1 installed.

I wish we had an Angie's list membership when we contacted this provider a year ago based on a recommendation from a neighbor that has never followed through with having their landscape redone.  Our initial reaction was positive but the follow through was not.  We ended up not having the landscaping done in 2013 as planned since things dragged out until fall and I was concerned about the quality of plants we would receive at that time of year and postponed until spring 2014.
Unfortunately I was out of town when the landscaping was done in spring 2014 or I would never have accepted the plants provided.  They were very small and totally unacceptable for the price charged.  Installation was done by laborers that took no pride in their work and some plants were not set where they should have been according to the plan.  In some places bark was too deep, in others too shallow. 
When I notifed the owner that I was dissatisfied, he just referred my concerns to his part-time designer.  After a brief email exchange, I gave up and just replaced plants on my own and at my own expense not wanting to deal with this company any more.  Bottom line - this is not a professional landscaping company that does quality work and stands behind it.

Would Not return my calls When i tried to contact them We had to dig out old soil Where pine trees had been, buy more soil and reseed. They Did Not dig out enough old soil or add enough new for the seed to grow. This was an additional cost for us, both financially and timewise.
