On our first visit my wife and I went to Lamperts looking for two new outdoor lamps to replace the old ones that were no longer working as well as several other home improvement projects. They only had one of each style of lamp in stock. We asked if they would order a second lamp to match the one we liked and we double checked that it would be the same. They confirmed that it was the same exact lamp and they would call us when it came in but we have to pay for it before they will order it which we do. So we returned to the house (45 minute drive up the peninsula) and installed the first lamp and we really liked it a lot. A week goes by and we call to see if the new lamp is in because they never called us back and we find out they had it two days prior. So I go to get it and I tell them that the box looks different from the one we bought but they say that it?s the same. So I take it back and open it up to find that it?s a totally different lamp with the same bar code. I call them and they tell me first that they can?t order a new one unless we come in to pay for it first. I explain that they ordered the wrong one. I end up driving back over there and they try to blame me for the mix up for buying to lamps that don?t match. They end up ordering a new one after I argue enough that they don?t make me pay for the third one but they want me to return both. Another week goes by again I have to call them and they are upset at me because the shipment came in the other day but they didn?t unload it so they don?t want to check to see if my lamp came in. I explain to them that our first visit was done on our first day up on our vacation and we are going to leave in two days? we need to get the lamp. Later that day I call again and they confirm that they have the lamp but they aren?t willing to describe the lamp to me so I can bring only the one I need to return. So I end up taking down both of the lamps to bring in so I can pick up the third lamp and exchange one of the others. Not once during the whole situation did anyone at the store say sorry, we were dealing with the same three people every time and they seemed upset at us at every turn. Furthermore the $200 worth of outdoor lamps was one of the cheapest things that we bought that first day for our home improvement needs. I would never shop there again.
