About us
Kulp's of Stratford is a full-service roofing, insulation, windows, and solar PV contractor, with 42 employees, and a track record of 25 years of quality work and customer satisfaction. In residential roofing, we offer the best asphalt shingle warranty in the industry by virtue of our GAF Master Elite status, one of only three in central Wisconsin, as of spring 2016. We have more experience with stone-coated steel and standing seam steel roofing than any other contractor in the area, with hundreds of jobs to show for it. Our customers are often those who see their home as their "castle", and who are committed to it for the longer term. We only use subcontractors in rare instances, and only when our clients understand and agree to the reasons for it. Our crews have received training for installing asphalt shingle roofing, spray foam insulation, copper roofing, replacement windows, asbestos roofing abatement and removal, OSHA 10-hour courses for construction, aerial lift and forklift training, and frequent safety training. Our safety record has been nearly perfect for three years, and we are fully insured with worker's compensation, general liability, and auto policies, with a $5,000,000 umbrella policy. Some our specialties are: Properly insulating cathedral or vaulted ceilings in conjunction with re-roofing, where ice damming, condensation, and heat loss have been issues; performing complex and large metal, tile, and shingle projects that many contractors avoid. However, we do many basic and less complex projects as well, with the same attention to detail as the larger ones receive. Poor quality work for way too much money.
"We first noticed this review in May of 2013, about a year after it was posted, and have tried several times to make contact with the homeowner to discuss her satisfaction with our company that goes back about 15 years, as the work was actually done in 1998. We were surprised to see the negative review, as we were not contacted when her subsequent roofers found what they did. Perhaps this matter could have been resolved at that time. After several attempts to contact her by phone and several voice mails left (she did try to call back after our first message to her and left a voice message), we sent the homeowner a letter on June 4, 2013, with some questions regarding our work that we hope will start the dialog between us. We have not received a response to date."
