WAYNE R NELSON ROOFING

I realize this is a job that was done over 10 years ago, but I want to add support to the previous reviewer. We went with this roofer because he was cheap. We have since had an extensive repair of the roof done, and the during the repair we were shown how Nelson had not even put underlayment down on a section before nailing on the shingles. Not surpisingly, the roof leaked in that spot. Luckily the new roofer also had a guy that could do drywall because the leaking roof caused inside damage in several rooms. I advise not using Nelson roofing, because cheap does not always mean it costs less.

Horribly. At first it seemed fine, the new shingles looked ok and being a new homeowner I didn't know anything about roofing. After a couple of weeks the roof started to leak large amounts of rain water-destroying new blown in insulation and the ceiling on the lower level. I called Wayne Nelson daily and received no response, and after several days of hearing nothing from him, his wife started hanging up on me when I tried to reach him. I ended up hiring a new contractor to fix the problem (he had not placed any underlayment at all between the roof surface and the dormer windows), and several thousand dollars later I also had the wet insulation repaired and the lower level ceiling replaced.
