Sensible Painting

The workmanship was sub par.  The painters (not the owner) left areas uncovered or thin on paint. Both rooms required repainting.The wood trim work was especially disappointing.  It involved one door in my living room area.  It required three call backs and still wasn't right.  The painter had slopped paint on the brass hinges, door knob, etc.  The owner simply wanted me to pay him and deduct the door from the job---rather than do the job properly.  In the end, it was left for me to paint the door!

Approximately June 2011 contacted company and hired to do job.  Two painters (not owner who originally gave estimate) came and did a veyr poor job scraping off paint (essentially just scraped away whatever was peeling already, leaving very uneven surface).  Painters did not appear competent or trustworthy.  Completed job in <8 hours and left it very uneven looking.  They also painted some trim around a window the wrong color (we had asked that they leave the trim alone).  After 1-2 days, in heat, paint bubbled.  Owner came to look at it and promised to repaint.  Two months later, after multiple requests to complete the job, they scraped again and repainted in August with final result very mediocre work.  After they were done we also noticed that there was a large paint spill (or brush wiped) on our garden bench that was sitting off to the side of the house.  Obviously workers were disrespectful to our property.

They were right on time and were courteous, proffesional and efficient. Replaced all furniture just the way they found it. Did not have to do any major clean up nothing broken or missing. Fred and his crew were a pleasure to work with.
