Description of Work: Durarock and permaboard were installed in large shower and toilet. SDC used roofing nails and wood screws resulting in cracks and breaking up of cement board. Most nails missed the studs so extra nails were placed and compromised the appropriate distance needed from nail to nail on the stub. twice as many nails were placed resulting in most of the board cracking and cement turning to powder at nail site. Some nails were not able to be pounded in flush which means we cannot apply grout for new tile with any degree of accuracy. The drywaller also nailed right THROUGH the cold water pipe which resulted in water in the wall and down to the floor. ( Not sure if we have mold yet) We paid a plumber to open the bedroom wall behind the shower to repair the water pipe. That wall is now open. We can't apply our tile because we are not confident the waterproof membrane is still in place with all the nails and holes in the cement board. SDC will not come out to view or to repair the problem, stating we are too far to drive, and oh yes...they did get their money so this would definitely be at their expense. This vender; SDC of Stoughton will not return phone calls to we the customer.
