I hired Geoff Hamilton to do snow removal. He said he had a program where he would do snow removal 5 times for an up front cost of 250. He only showed up the first time to collect the check. After that it snowed 2 more times but he wasn't available. The first time he said he was in Illinois because his dad died but he would be back the next day and would do it when he got back in town. That didn't happen so my husband with a heart condition insisted on doing it - the very thing I was trying to avoid. When I texted Geoff to find out why he didn't do it, he said he was still in Illinois - he never called or texted that the plan had changed. Then another snowfall happens so I texted him that I wanted him to take care of it. He said "they" were going out at 8 pm and would take care of it. The next morning we find he hadn't been there. Again my husband went out, this time in the bitter cold. When I texted him, he said he didn't know why it didn't get done, but he hadn't gone out himself because he had a sick kid. SO, if he had other guys clearing snow for him, how come they couldn't handle our snow while he was supposedly in Illinois?? We've called him several time since then to demand $200 back and get one excuse after another. "His accountant was supposed to send it," "he is working 5 hrs out of town so can't run over to reimburse us," etc. We have since then run his name through the open court records and found several judgements against him in small claims court. He also was the subject of an S.O.S report in the WI State Journal for screwing over a customer. Don't take my word for it - look him up for yourself.
