They arrived on time and both worked in blistering heat, (with the AC off for obvious reasons) for a half day. Dave's brother then left and Dave finished another 3 hours of work alone. When Dave originally estimated this work, he forgot to add in the materials. When he realized his mistake, he split the materials cost with us, which we felt was a very generous and responsible move. All of the work they did for us is done well and works perfectly. We had good interactions with both of them and felt the price, for the work was very good indeed. I checked Dave's Angies List score because I am about to recommend him to a friend. I was astonished to see the negative reviews, and decided to add this one as a counterbalance.

Upon final inspection on the day of closing, Dave announced he did not believe all of the wiring needed to be replaced! He became very angry and stated he would not finish the job. The closing was cancelled, new contractors needed to be found and Dave still had to return numerous times due to code violations found by the inspector on the work he did. This was a very ugly and costly situation.

Also, I found it very difficult to be around him as he was often angry and yelling at his brother. When he was required to return by the inspector, he was agitated, abrupt and constantly yelling at and demeaning his brother who was doing most of the work.

I will never have him in my house again.

We were referred to Dave by another contractor doing work on our house. He gave us a bid and was able to come out the next week to complete the work. His bid was significantly lower than others we received. Work was completed in one day, and they stayed until 8 p.m. on a Friday (after Thanksgiving) to make sure everything was done correctly. We were pleased with the work and the price, though the job site was left in rough shape, including their lunch leftovers and wrappers along with electrical supplies strewn around the basement where they were working.

He did an excellent job and came in at about half the cost of another estimate that we got.
