"The project took 4 months to do during COVID, We were hire to build addition on a basement to his house. All permits were pulled and 7 different license contractors work on his house during COVID and restriction. The problem was is took three months to get concrete slab pour because the client changed his mind weather he wanted a slab or Stamp/color concrete for the patio. No permit required for patio. When the concrete contractor was ready to pour just a concrete slab the client change his mind in April. Stamp concrete need a temperature of 50 degree day and night. So contractor told him he is going to have to wait and finally middle of may concrete was poured which we had nothing to do with and the client paid him. 6 Inspection were performed by the building inspector and the building inspector and client both like the new addition. Final inspection was also performed with no issues, So lets address the roof. Client wanted roof to level of current house roof. In order to do that we had to slope the roof line which three contractors did. After complete and inspected by building inspector the client did not like it and wanted use the level the roof line which put it 2 feet above the house right before we were to insulate the attic. No change order so more material and manpower wasted to make client happy. As far as shingles yes at the top of the roof where cap is you have nails showing to nail the cap. Every roof has it and you use roof silicone to seal it. The contract stated 3 draw checks and then a final. Client only paid three draw checks. When you cut concreate inside you are going to get fumes, we mad sure all vents were covered and plastic on the door that went into the house. I also have photos of everything to back up. Building inspector completed final inspector with no issues in April but client has not paid final bill. We will be filling a lien on the property for balance owed. If there were issues after final inspection the warranty is one year. We build a nice building to code and looks amazing and if you only get a 1 star rating I do not know what to think of people any more. America is changing for the worst."
