After a string of bad realtors (late to appointments with no courtesy call, unresponsiveness to questions) I broke a contract to take a chance on the Jay Schmidt group I heard about through someone's recommendation. Best decision I could have made. Janine and her team made time right away to examine my property, inform me what they would do better based upon my previous listing and set out right away to improve on every facet of my listing from photos, to home improvements, to returning calls and texts in a prompt fashion. The Jay Schmidt group never wavered in their intensity to stay on top of the market and aggressively pursue getting my house sold in one month during what I'm told is a typically slow winter season. Julie was the most hard-working, committed realtor imaginable. She was constantly available and responded to our calls or messages immediately. Julie gave us wise advice in presenting our home and was able to see, and sell, the best aspects of our home.

We sold in less than a day. Julie Davidson rocked. She responded very quickly and was able to calm me when I got concerned about certain situations. Ultimately we sold to the first couple that walked through our door.

Jay and his team were very patient as the process took almost 2 years. Jay was very honest and never over-sold a property. He listened to us and only offered his opinion when asked. Once we decided on our house, he was very helpful with the negotiation and offer. At that point, Jay's team got involved and kept us on track for closing. I assumed that selling my house (first time experience for me) would be the most stressful thing I've ever done, but honestly, Jay and his team did pretty much all the work, and gave great advice once offers started rolling in. I interviewed three realtors before deciding on Jay's team. Two major realtors seem to dominate the Whitefish Bay area - Jay and Suzanne Powers. I liked both of them, but Suzanne comes across as an intense, cutthroat businesswoman, where Jay is a calm, funny friend. They both had excellent references and a great track record, but, for me, it came down to answering "Who do I want opening the door and welcoming people into my home?" The answer to that was obvious, and I think I made the right choice. It doesn't hurt that Jay also managed to sell my house for several thousand dollars over the asking price within 21 days of listing it, with minimal inconvenience to me for open houses and showings. Bottom line - his team is excellent, and they will take care of you. I don't think it's possible to have an easier experience in home sales.

The Keller Williams Jay Schmidt Group was very professional and not over zealous. They were realistic in their promises and delivered. They always responded to our questions and any concerns we had. Our house was sold, which was a luxury portfolio property, sold in four weeks. They contacted their network of realtors and advertised our home beautifully. There was no drama, which was very appreciated. Other realtors that presented to win the listing were a lot of talk. They sold their business, but not themselves. The Jay Schmidt Group is growing due to the many referrals they receive. There is a reason they are the majority of real estate signs in the area

Spring 2014 I considered moving and Janine and Jay took the time to come over and give my home a valuation which turned out well. They explained exactly what the process would be if I was to sell my home, and I requested to see a number of homes which Janine always accommodated. I determined the timing and situation was all wrong for me and decided not to move forward and Janine completely agreed and I stepped back from the house selling and hunting pursuit. That process provided me with the knowledge of what would need to be done if ever again I decided to sell my house.

Around Memorial weekend 2015 I decided I wanted to get the ball rolling and move to a new home, and I was quite specific about the style of home and the location.
Janine and the Jay Schmidt Group helped me to get the house prepared in record time. The house went up for sale a couple days after my son graduated from high school in the middle of June, and we were moved into the new home on August 14th with time to settle in before middle school would start for my daughter.
I was able to get my house sold for the right price, buy a house for a good deal, and being able to work with the positive energy that Janine exudes was just a bonus.

Any question I needed answered was handled quickly by Janine and and any roadblock I thought I was up against, we quickly got through. Once on the market the house had a lot of interest and sold quickly.

My family moved out of Milwaukee about 20 days prior to closing, and Lindsey kept us informed of all the happenings after we left.  They helped us through some home inspection issues and kept us in a position to still sell our home before we closed on our new one.
