The work was performed by Rick Klunck and his brother. Rick Klunck is the owner of Quality Concrete and Construction, Inc.
The sidewalk and patio were OK. The problem was with the patio step. The step was pitched towards the house instead of away from it. There was also no caulk between the step and the foundation joist. This resulted in water in the basement when it rained. I caulked the step myself to stop the water from getting into the basement, but because the step is pitched towards the house, water pools against the foundation joist.
I telephoned Quality Concrete at their listed number of (920) 458-1125. You always get a recorded message when you call. I left a message to return my call, and Rick Klunck called me that evening. I explained the problem to him, and he said he would come and take a look at it that week. He never showed up. I telephoned four more times after that and left a message each time. He never returned any of those calls and never showed up to inspect the work.
