ALPINE INSULATION

Alpine / AB Drywall are not service companies, rather just a dispatch for Spanish speaking subcontractors. A slick salesman comes to bid the job, and that is the last involvement of Alpine / AB Drywall in your project until they send you the bill. What happens in between is a complete and total disaster. They don't tell you when they are going to come. I requested a start date 3 weeks in advance and ended up waiting for a week for them to get started. And when I said I waited, I was told they?d be there and I literally I waited at the job site for the workers to show up, and they never did. I wasted so much time and frustration. There is nobody managing your project, and there is nobody to get ahold of at the main office. There is nobody with expertise that quality checks anything. The guys who show up are a bunch of Spanish speaking contractors that are just banging it out as fast as they can. No communication, no standards, no clean up, no respect for the job. No time table. No updates. Nada. And the worst part about it, is that the drywall work was abysmal. They buried 10 outlets, 2 cold air returns, and 1 bathroom fan. The drywall falls short of numerous outlet trims. Nothing is straight and there are nail pops everywhere. I am looking at a nail pop as I type this. Alpine?s bid was 10% less expensive than a quality contractor I have used in the past. It ended up costing me a fortune in shoddy quality, wasted time and frustration. They leave the house a pigsty. The weird thing is that I see Alpine Insulation and AB Drywall trucks around numerous construction sites, that?s why I thought ?they must be good if they are that big?. All around experience = bad.
