Sandmasters did a great job. I originally called Sandmasters to give me a quote on fixing the horrible job left on my second story floor by Floor Coverings International Waukesha. So Robert quoted me on redoing upstairs and since he was there I asked him to quote downstairs. I kind of just moved on and forgot about doing any of it (I got this quote a while ago, before covid). Then my husband said ... well my parents are stuck in florida and we could move out and into their house and have the floors done. We could still get work done on the house while social distancing. So I called Robert to see if they had any spots open and they did. So we moved out and they did the downstairs. I am so happy with their work. They did a beautiful job. Maybe one day I'll hire them to fix the other companie's job upstairs. The difference between the two companies really shows. The work guys and Sandmasters were much nicer and professional too. I didn't get any weird vibes from them.

there were a couple issues when the job was completed but they came back right away and fixed the problems with good cheer!

Great job! Floors came out great. Laborer and estimator were punctual and professional. Job was scheduled very quickly. Odors and mess from the work was minimal. My only complaint is that the laborer routed the electrical cord for his equipment through our laundry shoot. When the equipment was operating, a small amount of sawdust entered the shoot. It was a minor annoyance with a major job that was done very well.

Everything about the service for this project was excellent.  Selected Sandmasters for a quote based on reviews here and meeting with Matt.  Excellent service.  We were lucky that the existing stains in the finish of the floor came out, and we had no illusions from the team that this would be the case.  The amount of time we had to wait to get the job done was less than competitors.  The instant cure finish was the right choice for us because the durability and shortened time to getting our room back.  After the estimate and signing, we waited for a visit with 2 sample stains.  I felt everyone I met or spoke with listened well to our concerns, answered our questions and made professional suggestions.  When the time came for the work, the team arrived ahead of schedule, kept us informed of the next step and when they would return.  Due to the humidity, there was extra time needed for drying.  Worth every cent because now we have an incredible space.  Thank you!
The prep work for the job was challenging and took a lot of time and energy from us.  After removing the old carpet and pad, then removed the tack strips and the old carpet staples.  Removed all the furniture, packed delicate items in the room before moving them elsewhere, and had all the cables up off the ground.  This really allowed Sandmasters to get right into the job when they arrived.

Excellent!  They were on time and explained the entire process I questioned why they did not figure a black spot in the estimate for replacement.  They said they thought it would sand out and it did.  I am having them do my living room and other bedroom.  The floor is extraordinary.  Well worth the money!!!!!

The floor work was great.  I was out of town during the sanding.  The crew let themselves in, did the work, cleaned up - no issues.  However, they had to disconnect some breakers to get 220V for their large sanding equipment.  They happened to pull the wrong breaker and disconnected my refrigerator.  Without them knowing it the frozen food melted and water leaked onto my kitchen floors (not the ones they were refinishing).  
Peter (the owner) worked with me to get them fixed.  It was not a great situation for him because he had to essentially refinish a large portion of my downstairs floors to correct the water issue caused in a relatively small area.  But they did a great job and I appreciate the honest dealings.  I have suggested them to numerous friends in the area since.

Excellent!  Loved the way they communicated everything with me.  Very beautiful job, very neat and clean when they work!  Perfect job in matching the stain.  I cannot find a flaw in the workmanship which says a lot!  I would highly recommend them if you want a beautiful hardwood floor and you are picky like me:)

 Just keep in mind they do come and go a lot because of the process and it takes about a week to do but is well worth it!  (also you do have to keep kids and animals off it during this process)

We are extremely pleased with the work performed by Sandmasters.  Our house has full southern exposure, and the floors were faded and dry from the sun exposure.  There were also several areas that had water damage from having plants in the house, and floors had many scratches, nicks and dents.  The results have been nothing short of amazing!  The floors have been transformed to a beautiful rich tone, and everyone that has seen them has commented on how great they look.  We used Sandmasters "Instant Cure System", which allowed us to move furniture back immediately.  I would highly recommend it.  The work itself went as scheduled.  It took a total of 5 days to sand, finish and cure the floors.  It would have only taken 4 days, but on the fourth day, we had left the windows open, and it was too warm and humid in the house for them to finish the work, so they came back the next day to finish.  We were not at home most of the time, but I received a call every day to let me know what they were doing that day.  Sandmaster's price was a little higher than another quote we received, but we had a coupon from the Home Show for a free upgrade to the Instant Cure, which was savings of $625, and we really wanted that unique feature.  We have not been disappointed!

Robert came discussed our needs and wants, and helped us decide upon the wood species.  He presented us with a great idea regarding styling (how the floor was to be laid).  Robert was more informed, and gave us better choices than any other company that we looked at. 
All of the crews showed up exactly when expected, performed professionally, were friendly, and cleaned up after themselves after every day of work.  There was no mess, and no dust.  The workers protected the existing floors that they needed for walk-ways.  All of the crew members had a schedule and told me what to expect the next day. Completion was exactly as scheduled.
The floor turned out beautifully.  They did a wonderful job.

They did everything in one day.  We had to have the furniture moved out before they started.  They put up plastic sheets to protect the other rooms from getting dust all over.

We interviewed 3 companies that offered a " dust reduced" service. Sandmasters represented that no service can be 100% dust free but that they offer a service with significant dust reduction.  The sales representative was punctual and provided a quote that include all of the provisions we discussed at the time of his on site visit. The quote included an "instant cure finish system" that allowed us lay rugs and place furniture as soon as the final coat was dry. The sales representative described the process and the actual process occurred as described.
The process took 4 days. The first two days were devoted to establishing dust barriers, sanding and making minor board replacements.  The representatives arrived on time Monday morning. The first few of hours was spent establishing dust barriers.  All cabinets were taped closed, furniture and drapes were covered with plastic, rooms were sealed with plastic.  In the open area, a plastic tent was constructed to minimize sanding dust moving to areas not part of the process.  At the end of each day the representatives would clean up the areas to minimize dust. The final two days were devoted to providing the floor sealant and buffing.  The company had 5 different men involved with the process with no more than two on site at a time.  They all were very personable and appeared to take pride in their work. They communicated to us each day what was to be done and when certain areas would be totally restricted.
A water base product was used to seal the floor, which was completely odorless. We would leave our home at times during the day and return in the late afternoon after the work was complete. We slept in our home with no problem concerning dust or odor.
Our floor turned out beautiful. The floor looks new and it is unnoticeable that certain boards were replaced. The disruption of the process was tolerable. We highly recommend this Company for homeowners that are concerned both with the quality of the refinishing and the need to keep sanding dust to an absolute minimum.

It wasn't dusty at all, they kept the house very livable while they were working.  They were very nice, tidy, and prompt.  I've had them back a couple times for additional work.  Their original job was still great. They gave me a range for the bid, and they stayed at the very bottom of their estimate range.

Sandmasters did an excellent job for us.  Both Matthew and John (who actually recoated and cured the floors) were prompt, professional, and work was done per our agreement.  The movers arrived as scheduled and did a fine job (Mr. Mover). John made one little mistake when curing the floor and made arrangements with us to refinish that part of the floor.  The work was completed early the next week (this  did not interfere with moving the furniture and rugs back in the house as scheduled).   Because we chose to recoat the floor, there was no dust to contend with and we only had to stay off the floor and out of the house for about 8 to 10 hours.  The floors look brighter and cleaner.  Recoating was the better choice for us.  We highly recommend Sandmasters to others.
