Finally, I had to contact the Better Business Bureau for a simple request...  send me a copy of my receipt,  See below for details.  Would you like to be next?  You decide...


Despite several written and verbal requests, Diamond Electric has not provided proof that they sent me any invoice prior to January this year.  The only invoice I received was in an email in January 2016.  This invoice  I received in January  2016 has the date of August 2014 with the address of my residence which I did not movoe into until July 2015.    Changing past documents in present time is called backdating.   If one back dates any records, it is dishonest  because it is not a true reflection of what occurred.  It also can hurt one’s credibility).

Diamond Electric admitted that they do not have evidence that they sent any invoice.  That is because they did not send anything.   

1.  Why couldn’t Ms. Diamond  attempt another method of communicating with me.  Did it ever cross her mind to maybe send something in the mail?

2.   Ms. Diamond  admits they do not have any proof of  correspondence with me.  Yet, she has no problem threatening me with liens on my property and legal action.  This is most concerning!  Apparently she is not aware that the burden of proof must be established before she can put liens on my property.  Without proof of the any correspondence, it is merely harassment and bullying.   Ms. DIamond apparently is unaware of the burden of proof  requirement because she stated, “ I don’t have to prove nothing [anything].”  

This is an abuse of power that Ms. Diamond has no problem practicing.  According to her,  I am not the first target of her  bullying.  She stated, “You are not the only one that said they didn’t get  a bill and did not pay.  I listen to people tell me this all day long.”

3.  Diamond Electric continues to use their power nefariously.  As soon as I received a bill in January of 2016, I paid them immediately.  They acknowledged that I paid them, however, they will not issue a receipt,  Rather,  they requested that I call and talk to their attorney.  Asking me to contact their attorney is just another way Diamond Electric is abusing their power to intimidate me.  Why can’t they just have the attorney send me a receipt.  Why must they further use their power to oppress the little guy by making me go through further hoops when in fact I paid them?  Why must they strong arm me?

4.  Diamond Electric is the reason why protection groups such as the Better Business Bureau are valued and needed.  The combination of Ms. Diamond’s ignorance about the rights of the consumer,  her access to legal resources,  and threats with no proof, are very disturbing.

Prior to putting my house on the market,David, the electrician from Diamond Electric, did  work for me in August of 2014.  While he was doing the work, I asked  him  for a bill.  He said he would bill me later.  I did not receive any statement and  I just waited for them to bill me as David said they would.   Fast forward to October  2015.  I received an email from Paula Diamond,  threatening to put a lien on my property and also stating that she was going to forward me to her attorney .I was totally panicked because  I never received a bill, I was worried about legal action against me, and I did not want my impeccable credit rating hurt. I called Paula and asked her to forward the emails that she said she sent me in the past  she supposedly emailed me.  She stated: "I don't have to send you nothing. I get people all day that say they paid and did not!”  


I politely informed her that she did have to prove that she sent emails if she was going to put a lien on my property.  She stated, “No I don’t!  And according to section 2 something ....  See, I Know what I am talking about.”  Besides being unable to identify the section she stated she was quoting  “section 2 something,”  her customer relations skills are atrocious!


I immediately paid the bill of 1,040 . I asked for a receipt for the bill I paid.  Since the beginning of February to date, she still had not send me a receipt for the check even though she cashed it.  Additionally, I still have not received a copy of the email invoices.


I don't appreciate being threatened with attorneys and liens when I never received a bill.  I also do not understand why they will not send me a receipt.  I don't understand what happened here. I wanted to share my story so that you can learn of my experience when considering which company you will hire..The disrespect, inaccurate accusations, and  threats of legal action without backing herself up are reasons why I needed to share my story.

Dave Diamond came by and looked at the meter box after WE energies had been here. He checked the inside and outside electrical boxes and agreed with WE energies that the outside meter box needed to be replaced. He quoited me a price and I latter called him back and set up the appointment. Nick and Jim came the day of the appointment on time and went over what needed to be done. They were very polite and friendly. I think they did more work than what was expected but I was charged what I was quoited.

It went wonderfully! They were very nice, very accommodating. Two men came out. They were very professional and business-like. They worked not stop from the minute they got here form the minute they left. They were very friendly. Every once in a while I would ask a question or two, they were very nice and answered all my questions. They were here mainly to fix my basement problem. When they left, I asked if they could look at a light that was not working. In my dining room, I've had a problem with the light. It hasn't worked for a couple of years. I said I know that it's not the bulb. I wanted to know if they would have to put a hole in the wall and plaster in order to fix it. They look at it, ran to the truck, fixed my switch, and didn't even charge me. I was also pleased with the price.

Diamond was one of the best contractors I hired as part of my kitchen remodel project. They had the lowest price of the electrical bids I received and they were able to start the job the soonest. They roughed in the wiring in 1 day and passed inspection easily. When the drywall went up, they installed all of the fixtures and switches in a day as well. They always showed up when they said they would and their work was correct the first time. Even the switches were logically laid out so we can understand which switch turns on which light. They wired my house as if it were their own. Dave was a pleasure to work and had good suggestions on additional upgrades we could do for little extra cost.

I called to make an appointment and they were able to be there the same day and switch out the box and upgrade some of the wiring. They cleaned up after themselves and working with a team of two help speed up their process and they were in and out within less than an hour.

Inspection was done and what I thought was a circuit problem turned out to be a badly installed light fixture done by the previous owner. The fixture was repaired. He also checked an out-of order, ancient dish washer to make sure electricity was getting to it. I was very pleased with the service and the price. No wonder their schedule is so full.

The electrical outlet which provides power to the washing machine stopped working the day before pictures were going to be taken by the realtor. I called several other contractors and none of them could come to take a look at my problem right away. Diamond responded within 2 hours after I called. They quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem - a circuit breaker. They did not charge an exorbitant amount for the repair and I was able to finish the house market-ready.

Excellent team of people to work with. I have had them do other work as part of a remodel and they have been consistently on time and efficient. They worked around my hectic schedule. They came out exactly at the time they specified and were able to do the job quickly. It looks great and works fantastic. Ben and Dave are excellent folks as is their entire team of people. Contractor was part of kitchen remodeling. Asked for estimate, along with others, to solve a problem with the electric feed over a hot tub. Diamond owner, Ben, came up with the idea of changing feed to front of house, which was not suggested by other bidders. Price was 60% of other estimates to leave feed in the rear of house.
